Hidden Gems: Meet Jessi Collins of Seaside Bungalow Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessi Collins.

Hi Jessi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey in the beauty industry over 18 years ago at Ma Maison de Beaute in Beverly Hills. Before becoming an aesthetician, I started out as a Massage Therapist, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding the body and the importance of relaxation and healing. I’ve always had a passion for learning – especially when it comes to new technologies, treatments, and products – and that curiosity naturally led me into aesthetics.

What has always driven me is my love for helping women feel confident, beautiful and cared for. Over the past five years my focus has expanded into health and wellness, allowing me to take a more holistic approach to beauty. I now offer longevity and weight loss peptide therapies, which has been incredibly rewarding because I’m able to help clients not only look their best, but truly feel their best from the inside out.

About a year and a half ago I opened Seaside Bungalow Spa. While building the business has taken a lot of hard work, it has been deeply fulfilling. I wanted to create a space that feels calm, welcoming, and unhurried. The moment I saw the patio, I knew it would be a special place – a peaceful spot where clients could relax and unwind before or after their treatments. The spa truly reflects my vision of beauty, wellness, and serenity coming together.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Opening a spa outside of the Beverly Hills area meant, in many ways, starting from scratch and rebuilding a client base from the ground up. That can be especially challenging in today’s economy, where – after Covid – many people have had to cut back on luxury and self-care services.

That said, I feel incredibly fortunate. Mar Vista is truly an up-and-coming area, and I believe there’s a real need here for the kind of personalized, high-quality spa and wellness services I offer. Building connections within this community has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. I’ve met so many wonderful people, and that sense of community has reaffirmed that I chose the right place and the right time to grow Seaside Bungalow Spa.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a boutique spa, focused on personalized beauty and wellness. We offer a full range of services, including facials, waxing, brow shaping and tinting, body contouring, skin rejuvenation, red light therapy, the oxygen dome, and soon, injectables. What truly sets us apart is that we are not a “factory-style”spa- every client is heard, and every treatment is tailored to their individual concerns and goals.

We specialize in advanced treatments that deliver real results while still feeling nurturing and relaxing. One of our most exciting offerings is the Ultimate Contour machine, the only FDA-cleared low frequency, ultrasound and radio frequency device that provides painless, immediate results. Clients can see up to a 1 inch reduction in circumference after just one treatment, along with visible cellulite reduction, and skin tightening. It’s a game changer in noninvasive, body contouring, and we are thrilled to offer it.

Another signature treatment we are known for is our SonoPeel Oxygen Facial. This facial uses ultrasonic dermabrasion to deeply exfoliate and refine the skin, followed by the infusion of 87 vitamins and minerals. These nutrients are put in the nebulizer and sprayed onto the skin using condensed oxygen, leaving the complexion incredibly hydrated, smooth, and glass-like. It’s an ideal facial before an event, as makeup applies flawlessly, but it’s also an exceptional anti-aging and deeply hydrating treatment on its own.

I’ve completed multiple advanced trainings, and I’m certified in Peptides. Above all, what I most proud of is our approach. Seaside Bungalow Spa is a place where clients feel genuinely cared for. Every service is customized, thoughtful, and focused on long-term results.-not quick fixes. Our goal is for clients to leave not only looking better, but feeling confident, supported, and truly well.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as creating meaningful, lasting impact through genuine connection. It’s not just about growth or numbers – it’s about building real relationships with my clients and creating a space where they feel truly seen, heard, and cared for. Success is seeing clients gain confidence, improve their wellness, and trust me with their ongoing journey

It is about helping clients feel confident and supported, and knowing they leave, not only looking better, but feeling better, physically and emotionally. It’s about offering, thoughtful, personalized care, continuing to grow and learn, and doing work that I love in a way that feels aligned and purposeful. Being able to create that kind of experience at Seaside Bungalow Spa is what success truly means to me.
