Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Thompson.
Hi Jenny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are an ooey gooey cheese business on the Central Coast of California specializing in cheese-scraped sandwiches and baked potatoes. Owner, Jenny Thompson, came across this concept at a farmers market in Chicago and brought it to the Central Coast to pair with the plethora of wineries, breweries, distilleries, and outdoor events. The interactive cheesiness has been a hit ever since starting the business in October of 2022.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The struggles of a small business are food costs and food waste. In the year we have been in business, we aim to sell out at each event to lower food waste, and if there are leftovers, we donate it to the local shelter.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about SLO Meltdown?

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We are always open to trying different locations, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and local events to spread our ooey-gooey goodness.
