Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwight W.

Hi Dwight, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my fitness career as a personal trainer at a big box gym over 10 years ago. When the pandemic hit, I took a leap and opened my own personal training studio focusing on each client’s specific needs. Opening in the middle of such uncertainty was a risk but it paid off and became my first successful business.

After selling the studio a few years later, I shifted to online personal training. Too many online programs are just cookie cutter plans that ignore individual goals, nagging injuries, or muscle imbalances. My approach is different and every program is tailored to the person, their body, and their lifestyle.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Transitioning was definitely an adjustment. I love training in person and still do in the 908 area of Long Beach. But shifting online meant learning how to build a website from scratch, set up systems, and create a full exercise library. On top of that, I had to figure out how to spread the word and stand out in a large and competitive market.

We’ve been impressed with Find Your Fitness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Find Your Fitness helps people build strength, lose weight, overcome nagging injuries, and feel more like yourself through personalized training offered in person in Long Beach and online anywhere. I create programs tailored to each client’s goals, lifestyle, and any injuries or imbalances, not same recycled plans. When people ask me what I do I always say “My job is to make my clients do all the things they don’t want to do to get what they really want”

I am most proud of the personal connections and lasting results my clients achieve, from injury recovery to improved strength and confidence. Readers should know that every plan is customized and the first step is a complimentary consultation to design a program that truly fits their life.
