Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Vargas.
Hi Ana , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I never planned on becoming the founder of my own accounting and income tax firm. Growing up in Sinaloa, Mexico, I dreamed of building a future for myself and helping my family back home. I came to California determined to make that dream a reality. While there are many women from my background succeeding in business, I still felt inspired to create my own path—one that combined my passion for helping others with my dedication to income tax and accounting expertise.
My inspiration came from a deep desire to help my community. I noticed a real need—many people struggle with finances specially in the accounting and in the tax field and don’t have reliable support. I wanted to change that and help not just myself, but my parents and younger siblings back in Mexico, who I was working hard to help them financially .
We ( my husband and I ) started the business when we didn’t have enough money; all the furniture in our office was used because we couldn’t afford to buy anything new at that time. We started the business in 2008 with little money, but with a big dream. In the beginning was hard, I remember many times walking around the neighborhood near our office with my young children. I would put my baby in the stroller and, along with my 7-year-old daughter, go door-to-door handing out flyers so people would know there was a tax office in the area. It was just me and my husband working together—we both worked hard, and he was juggling two jobs while I was trying to balanced all and raising young children. It wasn’t easy—the financial challenges , the time demands, and the responsibility of being a mother made the journey tough, and for my husbad was hard to have two jobs, working 15 to 16 hours a day. But we were determined.
Today, I’m grateful to lead a dedicated team. We have two offices and serve over 2,000 active clients. I’m especially proud to support business owners and entrepreneurs, guiding them through the challenges of starting and growing their companies. Many of our clients began with nothing and now run successful businesses. Their success is my success.
I often tell people that working hard is essential, but working with strategy is even more important. Knowing where you want to go is the key to achieving guaranteed long-term results. Entrepreneurship is not easy—it carries a lot of responsibility. But it’s absolutely worth it.
My story is still being written, but I know this much for sure: building a business from scratch while staying true to my values, my culture, and my family has been the most rewarding journey of my life. And I hope my experience inspires others, especially women, to take the leap and create the future they dream of.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Financial challenges:
Not having enough money to start the business.
Using all secondhand furniture in the office because buying new wasn’t an option.
Struggling to launch a business with limited financial resources.
Balancing work and family:
Starting a business while being a mother to young children.
Managing the business alongside caring for her kids.
My husband juggling two jobs for many years after we open the office to support the family and the business.
Building a business from scratch:
Beginning alone, without a team or clients.
Going door-to-door handing out flyers to promote the office.
THE HARDEST;
One of the hardest parts was knowing that my young children were with me at work when they should have been comfortably at home. Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship wasn’t easy, but it made me even more determined to succeed.
