When I created this brand, The Goddess of Flame®, my deepest intention was to empower women. Having personally overcome both domestic and spiritual abuse, I wanted to help other women own their gifts and manifest abundance for themselves. There are so many psychic scammers out there—people who will take your money but won’t actually put you on the path of true empowerment or help you tap into your own spiritual power. I know firsthand that being a woman isn’t easy, and when you’re facing challenges, you need real spiritual support to move that energy.
It takes time and resources to build your own spiritual power, so I set out to create something tangible, affordable, and genuinely effective for women—tools for every purpose, whether it’s protection, money, love, or healing. I started by making these products for my clients, focusing on quality and real results. As word spread about how effective they truly were, more and more women wanted access to them, and the demand for a physical location grew naturally from there.

Over time, as the business grew, my sister Aniya joined me when we opened our retail location in Woodland Hills. We now co-own and run the store together—I’m primarily focused on psychic readings, spiritual services, and product development, while Aniya manages the day-to-day operations, our Amazon account, and the website. Now we’re a small, family-run, women-owned business, and our mom is now the heart of our production. She lovingly handcrafts all of our products, and I add the final spiritual touches—charging each item with energy, intention, and ritual. This collaboration keeps our business rooted in family values, authenticity, and care.

Today, we serve a beautiful community both in-store and online, with a product range inspired by African Orishas, Angels, Egyptian deities, and more.It’s not always easy balancing production, customer service, and marketing as a small team, especially with limited funding. But our customers’ stories and the positive transformations they experience keep us going. Our vision is to continue growing, reach more people online, and expand our offerings—while staying true to our roots as a family business committed to spiritual authenticity and empowerment.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—like most small businesses, we’ve faced our share of challenges. This past year alone had been especially difficult for many local business. Between elections, inflation and economic challenges we still had to stay open during the LA fires and recent protests.

One of the biggest struggles has been balancing everything as a small, family-run team. With limited funding and resources, we’ve had to wear many hats—managing production, customer service, marketing, and online sales, all while keeping up with demand and maintaining the quality and spiritual integrity of our products.
Financial pressure is real, especially when sales just barely cover expenses and rent. There have been moments of overwhelm, especially as we try to grow our online presence and compete with much larger, established brands. Marketing and customer retention have also been ongoing challenges, since it takes time and consistency to build a loyal community and keep people engaged.

On a personal level, I’ve had to work through my own healing and self-empowerment journey while supporting others on theirs. It’s not always easy to stay organized and motivated, especially when the workload feels endless. But every struggle has taught us something valuable and made our mission even stronger. The positive feedback from our customers and seeing the real impact our products have in their lives is what keeps us moving forward
