Today we’d like to introduce you to Tom Feeney.

Hi Tom, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been an insurance agent since 2008. After the mortgage crisis in 2008 I moved from the real estate world into insurance. I worked for a couple agencies until 2015 when I started Tommy Quotes Insurance Services which has now become Medical Insurance Today. We manage thousands of active clients and have helped close to 9,000 people enroll into Covered Ca since it’s inception in 2014. We also have a large client base of seniors on Medicare. The insurance side of healthcare has become my area of expertise and my agency aims to provide excellent service to our clients year over year as the healthcare market continually changes.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As with all businesses the road has been paved with challenges and struggles. Typically the challenges have come in the form of bad and unethical business leaders and partners however other than that, my business has been a great blessing. We get to help people figure out a complicated topic in healthcare becoming a resource for the local community. This makes coming to work worthwhile.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
As a kid my family spent a lot of time in the Sierra mountains fishing, hiking and camping. My favorite memories are those times up in the Sequoia national forest with my family. We still go there to this day.
