Exploring Life & Business with Paige Diako of Paige Diako Pelvic Health

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Diako.

Hi Paige, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Paige Diako, and I run Paige Diako Pelvic Health in Beverly Hills, where I help people experiencing chronic pelvic pain, reproductive concerns, and vaginal health issues take their healing into their own hands.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I was exposed to both holistic and allopathic approaches to health. My mom brought me to acupuncture at 12 for ballet related tendinitis, but she was also deeply scientific. She owned an MRI imaging company and taught me about reproductive anatomy with hand-drawn diagrams! This dual foundation shaped everything that came after.

While studying business and math at USC, I heard a podcast interview with midwife Mary Lou Singleton that changed my trajectory. She spoke about reproductive sovereignty, the idea that with proper education and community care, we can handle most aspects of our reproductive health ourselves, rather than waiting for permission from medical authorities. That concept planted a seed.

After earning my BS in Business Administration and MS in Business Analytics, I started a career in finance. But my body had other plans. I developed interstitial cystitis (chronic bladder pain) and vaginal vestibulitis. Despite consulting specialists, the medical system couldn’t solve my chronic pain. I left my job to focus on healing and dove deep into training as a birth and postpartum doula, studying herbalism, nutrition, bodywork, and somatic approaches to pelvic health.

Through lifestyle changes, food as medicine, herbal remedies, and biomechanical interventions, I became pain free and haven’t had a UTI or yeast infection in over five years. That personal healing journey became the foundation for my business. Now, trained in somatic sexology, scar tissue remediation, bodywork, and the GAPS diet, I work with clients experiencing conditions like pelvic pain, painful sex, prolapse, recurrent UTIs, and more, giving them tools to support the body’s own healing process through nervous system regulation, at-home exercises, ancestral nutrition, and folk herbalism.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a business in holistic pelvic health requires extensive training, and I learned some hard lessons about burnout along the way.

At one point, I was juggling my Sexological Bodywork and STREAM (Scar Tissue Remediation, Education and Management) trainings simultaneously while working three part-time jobs. I found myself completely burned out, which felt hypocritical when I was supposed to be teaching clients about nervous system regulation and whole body health. I had to practice what I preach and reassess my priorities. After nine months of juggling, I left two of my part-time jobs so I could actually walk my talk.

Another major challenge was doing birth doula work during COVID lockdowns. Hospitals had strict no ins and outs policies, which meant once I entered to support a client, I couldn’t leave and return. Navigating those restrictions while trying to provide meaningful support during such vulnerable moments required a lot of creativity and adaptation. It was emotionally and logistically taxing, but it also deepened my commitment to helping people feel empowered in their own bodies, regardless of external circumstances.

These struggles taught me that sustainable healing work, both for myself and my clients, requires honoring our limits and finding ways to care for ourselves even when the path forward isn’t clear.

We’ve been impressed with Paige Diako Pelvic Health, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Paige Diako Pelvic Health is a holistic pelvic health practice based in Beverly Hills, offering both in-person and online sessions for people experiencing chronic pelvic pain and vaginal health issues. I specialize in supporting people with interstitial cystitis, vaginismus, vulvodynia, chronic UTIs, pelvic organ prolapse, painful sex, endometriosis, PCOS, and scar remediation after C-sections or abdominal surgery.

What sets my practice apart is the foundation of reproductive sovereignty. I’m not here to fix you. I’m here to give you the tools you need to support your body’s own healing process.

My approach combines somatic sexology, scar tissue remediation through STREAM, bodywork, ancestral nutrition including the GAPS diet, nervous system regulation, and folk herbalism in the Wise Woman tradition. I also help people navigate the medical system, as I believe a combination of allopathic medicine and holistic healing can be valuable.

I’m particularly known for taking a whole-body approach to pelvic health, with sessions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

My work with C-section scars through STREAM techniques has been especially transformative. Some people who approach their C-section scars this way share that their scars look as though they’ve nearly disappeared.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that my business grew directly from my own healing journey and through word of mouth. I don’t recommend any intervention I haven’t personally tried, and the trust clients place in me by referring their friends and family means everything.

I want readers to know that if you’re living with chronic pelvic issues and feel like the medical system has failed you, there are additional supportive paths forward. You can take an active role in your health, and I’m here to support that journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is spending quality time with the people I love. My husband and I love listening to our record collection together, and I call my parents regularly even though they live close by and I see them often. I treasure that time to connect.

I’m also really passionate about movement practices like yoga, Gyrotonic, dance, tai chi, and karate. I take a weekly tap class with ex-professional dancers, many of whom are 70 years and older, and I absolutely love it. I love being part of the local community through these activities and supporting local businesses. There’s something special about how these practices feel in my body and the connections they foster. When I’m not moving, you’ll find me spending time with friends, often in local nature spots like Franklin Canyon or at the beach.

All of these things ground me and remind me what I value most: connection, movement, and community.
