Nakia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After graduating from The University of La Verne with a degree in Business Administration, I decided to move to the Valley. I had been living in the city of Los Angeles for years, I was aiming for a more calm peaceful life. During this time, I became closer to God and my purpose. One day while reading the Bible the idea for my business came to me. I started doing research about healing the body through fasting, juicing, and aromatherapy. At that moment in time, my creativity was flourishing. I would create antiflamatory juices and different hair oils that excite the senses. The hair oil is my most beautiful creation from The Most High Righteous God of Israel. I decided to name my business The Little Oil Lady because I truly love making exotic hair and body oil from scratch blending rare and unique oils from different parts of the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was coming up with a name. I’m so deep and unique that I wanted to be different with my business name, but The Little Oil Lady is perfect for what I do. So that’s how I created this company that has helped a lot of people get their confidence back, grow their hair, uplift their mood and the people around them.

My unique passion for hair oil and my decades of knowledge make it second nature. I can create hair from scratch in less than ten minutes that will grow your hair and elevate your mood. I am the hair Alchemist and I love what I do.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
My biggest risk is I funded my business myself. I invested a lot of time, energy, resources, and finances into my company before I could see a definite profit return. In business, I believe in taking risks because your risk will also be your reward. I don’t believe in losing because a costly risk in your favor is a costly reward. If you don’t meet your profit margin a costly loss is an excellent teacher because nobody wants to lose money.
