Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Villines.
Hi Linda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Los Angeles from New York City as an actor in my early twenties. In my early thirties, my health began to decline rapidly. What started as gut issues spiraled into years of chronic illness, fatigue, and unrelenting symptoms that no diet, supplement, or treatment resolved. Then, in the midst of my own health crisis, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. My healing journey became a shared one. I was determined to become healthy and happy, not just for myself but for him and the little time we had left.
During the two years my husband battled cancer, I learned that true healing isn’t about diet or lifestyle routines, but about cultivating holistic freedom from the unresolved trauma I had carried for decades. Ultimately, it’s about self-love and liberation from fear and chronic stress. A few months before he passed, 90% of my symptoms and conditions resolved on their own. My body healed itself naturally because I had mentally and emotionally healed myself through unconditional self-love, joy, and reconnection with my soul.
After my husband passed, I went back to school and became certified as a holistic health coach and as an Ayurvedic counselor. I also became trauma-informed. After years of coaching one-on-one, I now share my work with larger audiences through my online courses, membership program, book (Unconditional: You Are Perfect as You Are), and podcast (The Simple Source). My own healing journey has led me to develop a unique approach to healing that is rooted in unconditional self-love, trauma resolution, emotional liberation, authenticity, mind-body-soul coherence, and highest self alignment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been nine years since my husband passed from cancer and seven years since I went into business for myself. Becoming a widow and a solo entrepreneur simultaneously was a layered, transformative journey, one that revealed parts of myself only that path could uncover. My business was born largely from my husband’s passing. After experiencing the heartbreak of cancer and loss, you come to understand (beyond clichés and platitudes) just how precious and fleeting life truly is. We must do what we love now because life is too short to settle.
Solo entrepreneurship demands deep dedication and continual investment in your own growth and evolution. Building this business has taught me to stop playing small, to be seen as my authentic self, to embrace failure, to rest for pleasure rather than reward, and to release perfectionism. Those are not trivial lessons. They’ve been invaluable. My devotion to healing and unconditional self-love has made the challenges of rebuilding life as both a widow and entrepreneur deeply meaningful, even joyful, despite the demands and ups and downs.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Self-Healer Source ?
My business is built around a simple yet revolutionary truth: healing, abundance, and transformation don’t have to be complicated or painful. I help people remember who they are and return to their natural state of wholeness, joy, and alignment with joy and love. Through my courses, membership program (The Source Membership), book (Unconditional: You Are Perfect as You Are), and my podcast (The Simple Source), I teach a paradigm-shifting approach to healing and personal growth that goes far beyond traditional self-help. My work integrates self-love, trauma resolution, nervous system regulation, and spiritual empowerment and is rooted in the understanding that unconditional love is the foundation of reality and the source of true healing.
What sets my work apart is its simplicity, originality, and depth. I don’t teach people outdated, tired frameworks. I don’t teach people to strive, fix, or chase change through quick fixes or complicated methods. I help them understand and resolve outdated patterns that oppose their innate power to heal, thrive, and create with ease. I’m most proud that my brand has become a space of truth and liberation for those who have tried everything and still feel something’s missing. I want people to know that growth and healing don’t require struggle or a long time, that you are already your highest self, and that lasting transformation happens when you reclaim your love, authenticity, and alignment with the fact that you already are and have everything you desire.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe in synchronicity and alignment, which means that, for me, luck is something we create. The universe and its craftiness have always been both a source of support and a mystery, depending on how you look at it. But I don’t see myself as separate from the universe. Luck suggests an external force beyond my control, and I no longer subscribe to beliefs that diminish my power to shape my own reality. In that way, I’ve evolved beyond luck. My reality is my own, and I take full ownership of all of it.
