I moved to the United States eight years ago from Armenia, and like many newcomers, I faced challenges while adjusting to a new environment. My first job was at a supermarket as a cashier, which was a humble start but a necessary step. Shortly after, I transitioned to a front desk position at an accounting firm. This role was particularly challenging because I was still learning English, and I remember relying heavily on Google Translate during conversations with my boss. It was tough, but it was also an invaluable experience that helped me improve my language skills.
As I grew more confident, I found myself drawn to the world of social media marketing. I began by helping small businesses with their online presence, and over time, my passion for marketing blossomed into a career. In 2019, I took a leap of faith and founded my own marketing agency, LiAmor Marketing. What started as a one-person operation has now grown into a full-service digital marketing agency with an amazing team and clients all over California.
Earlier this year, I had the idea to open a head spa, something that felt like a natural extension of my desire to help people feel their best. I began working on the concept in February, and after months of planning and hard work, we officially opened the doors to ResetSpot in August. ResetSpot is a head spa that specializes in scalp and hair treatments, combined with relaxing head massages. It’s a space where people can truly unwind and take care of their hair and scalp health, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Any significant step in life is a big risk and naturally comes with its challenges. My journey with ResetSpot has certainly not been a smooth road. I’ve encountered numerous obstacles, but I firmly believe that when you want something with all your heart, nothing in the world can stop you from achieving it.
I’m the kind of person who believes that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing perfectly—or not at all. This mindset was especially important when creating ResetSpot. I was determined to make it a perfect place for people to truly reset and rejuvenate themselves. However, the road to achieving that vision was far from easy. We faced several challenges, from issues with construction to delays in getting licenses. There was even a shipment from abroad that arrived damaged, adding to the stress.
Despite these setbacks, there was never a moment when I considered giving up. Yes, there were times when I was exhausted, working around the clock and feeling the pressure, but the idea of quitting never crossed my mind. ResetSpot holds a very special place in my life; it came to me at a time when I needed it the most, and I was determined to see it through.

When I got the idea to open ResetSpot, I was going through a challenging time and needed to keep my mind busy. This need to focus became a driving force for me, allowing me to pour all my energy into creating the spa. What initially felt like bad luck turned into an opportunity to fully dedicate myself to building ResetSpot, working day and night to bring it to life. In the end, it worked out in both my favor and ResetSpot’s, showing that sometimes, what seems like bad luck can lead to something truly positive.
