Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Iaridzhanian
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Kristina, and my journey to where I am today has been anything but easy. I came to the United States a little over two years ago, carrying nothing but a dream and the determination to build a new life. Like many immigrants, I faced countless obstacles—language barriers, financial struggles, and the overwhelming uncertainty of starting over in a country where I had no connections and no safety net.
Medical tattooing was more than just a skill to me; it was a calling. I had always believed in the power of art to heal, to restore not just the body but also the soul. I wanted to help people regain their confidence, to give them a sense of wholeness they had lost due to scars, medical conditions, or past trauma. But building a career in this field was another uphill battle. Without resources, recognition, or a strong support system, I struggled to gain trust and establish myself in a competitive industry.
There were many nights I lay awake, wondering if I would ever get the chance to do what I truly loved. But I refused to give up. I kept learning, kept perfecting my craft, and kept believing that one day, my work would make a difference. Slowly, I began to find my place, one client at a time. Each person who sat in my chair carried a story, a pain they wanted to erase or a confidence they longed to regain. And with every procedure, I saw the transformation—not just on their skin, but in their spirit.
Today, I am proud to say that I have built something meaningful. My services are not just about aesthetics; they are about healing. I approach every client with care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety while tailoring each procedure to their unique needs. I know what it means to struggle, to feel invisible, to crave a sense of belonging. That is why my mission goes beyond tattooing—I want to help people feel comfortable in their own skin, just as I fought to feel comfortable in mine.
My journey is far from over, but I am proof that with resilience and passion, even the most difficult paths can lead to something beautiful. Welcome to the world of art that heals.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been far from a smooth road. The journey to where I am today has been filled with struggles, setbacks, and moments of doubt. Coming to the United States as an immigrant, I faced challenges that tested my resilience at every turn.
One of the biggest hurdles was starting from scratch. I arrived in this country with no established network, no financial security, and no clear path forward. The weight of uncertainty was overwhelming—finding stable work, securing a place to live, and simply surviving in a new culture where I had to learn and adapt quickly. There were days when I barely had enough to get by, and nights when I questioned whether I had made the right choice in leaving everything behind.
Breaking into the field of medical tattooing was another uphill battle. It’s not a widely recognized profession, and gaining trust as a newcomer was difficult. I lacked the credibility, the clientele, and the resources to establish myself. I spent countless hours refining my craft, investing in education, and working hard to prove that my skills could make a difference in people’s lives. But building that reputation took time, and in the beginning, it felt like I was running uphill with no clear finish line in sight.
Another struggle was the emotional toll of working in a profession that deals with people’s deepest insecurities. Every client I see carries a story—trauma, illness, or experiences that have left them feeling less than whole. It is a privilege to help them heal, but it also means carrying the weight of their emotions, making sure I approach every case with the care and sensitivity it deserves.
Despite all of these challenges, I never gave up. I pushed through rejection, financial instability, and self-doubt because I knew that what I was doing had purpose. My passion for medical tattooing is what kept me going—it’s more than just a career, it’s a way to give people back their confidence, to help them see themselves in a new and empowering way.
The road has been tough, but every struggle has shaped me into the person I am today. And looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Because every obstacle I overcame brought me closer to my purpose—helping others feel comfortable in their own skin, just as I fought to feel comfortable in mine.
