Hi Kenneth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a Watts native and very proud of my community!
While growing up here i endured my own struggles but always had a vision and a purpose for self empowerment with a goal to uplift my community as an Entrepreneur, Humanitarian and Philanthropist.
I started out as a basic volunteer for other organizations learning and watching. And developed myself as CEO of Cali Spread Love with 1 goal and a sol mission that my community entrusted me with the leadership and vision to move our communities forward with resources necessary to thrive.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Cali Spread Love is a grassroots 501c3 with a mission to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. Source and acquire nutritious food and other products and distribute them to as well as raise awareness of food insecurity globally, and work to unite communities to help families in need.
Raising necessary funds for us to just have a truck with refrigeration continues to be a struggle as well as getting enough food to feed the masses on the streets.

As CEO of Cali Spread is a grassroots 501c3 Nonprofit Charity Organization focused on Food Insecurity from the ground up.
My vision as CEO is to move our communities forward with resources necessary to thrive. With a deep personal commitment to strengthening communities,
I also spend alot of my time in partnership with other like Organizations such as K.A.U.S.E as both aavid volunteer & Board member. He has volunteered in the fight against hunger and other causes since his youth.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Life is been my mentor! But the superior work ethic and community engagement of both my parents and grandparents embedded the seeds in myself to keep the community thriving. Along the way a stand-out mentor and a friend especially within the Nonprofit sector has been Yana Shmuliver the Founder and Executive Director of K.A.U.S.E.
