Today we’d like to introduce you to Ken Kerry.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Started in sports television at ABC Sports in NY working on Monday Night football/Baseball/Olympics. Worked my way up from PA to associate producer. After many years on the road and many large events I wanted to use my producer/director/journalism skills to build something for myself. Met my soon to be wife at a TV station and we shared the same aspirations. We developed a product to be sold on TV with less than desirable results but stayed committed to figuring out how to make it work. Eventually we broke even but learned a lot. We took those learnings and started a company to develop/strategize and produce TV shows and commercials for clients. That was the beginning of a very successful 35 year career in the DRTV/DTC marketing business. During that time and still today we work with business and companies looking to scale their businesses by using TV, CTV, Digital adverting/marketing to reach consumers to sell their products and services. We work with start-ups to the biggest brans in the world and have generated over 10 billion dollars in sales with companies like, Amazon, Jacuzzi Bath Remodel, Nugenix, Keurig, Shark Ninja, Oreck, Hoover, Generac and many more. Today we are very selective with the businesses we work with because our value is in the full funnel expertise to campaigns from strategy to creative, production, media buying, optimization and owned media assets.

From the beginning where were learning how to sell successfully on television to today where we are an industry leader and the most successful privately held DTC (Direct to Consumer) agency in the business we pride ourselves in pivoting and leading industry changes such as linear, TV, CTV, Digital marketing and the interconnection of them all to drive meaningful results that lead to awareness and profits for our clients. Currently I am developing a master online course on driving sales by leveraging the power of happy customers and clients transformational testimonials stories. I am adding this to our offering because I have been asked about this strategy for many years and why it’s so successful. I get asked to speak at events, brought in by major companies to share this experience, podcasts and incorporate it in all our campaigns. I wrote a best selling book “This Works Marketing” where I dedicated an entire segment of the book to the power of authentic selling and testimonials. My passion today is to help inspire business of all sizes, marketers and business owners with my expertise and proven results track record to help them succeed in todays marketing landscape.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never smooth and without challenges we would have not been so successful for over 3 decades if we didn’t face challenges head on and adapted. The biggest challenges have been the ever changing TV/CTV landscape and how to continue to create successful advertising messages that deliver results. Customer attention has become so fragmented that what worked last year must adapt very quickly to work today. Another challenge has been the realization that budget must also adapt to fill the needs that are crucial for success today. Every message must be contextual to the platform it appears on which in turn creates massive content needs on a continuous basis.
