Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Park.
Hi Jackie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am currently in the process of writing a book and was asked a very similar question which got me reflecting on how the start of OMO occurred. OMO is the company I founded in 2022 to solidify my life and leadership coaching business. While there were many points through my life journey, the most pivotal moment that kicked off my desire to start OMO was in 2017 when I was promoted to Vice President in my corporate role. I’ve been ‘climbing the corporate ladder’ since 2004, and it was with the significant leadership role that made me really contemplate how I want to show up in this world. I went on a ‘life purpose’ journey to figure out what I really WANT for myself and it became clear that I want to be in support of others standing in their power so that we can transform this world together.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Another sneak peek into the book I’m writing, the road has many paths and smooth is a relative term. I can say that it has been as smooth as I’ve tried to keep perspective along the way 🙂 I believe that the language you use significantly impacts your mindset, and so I try to convert struggle to opportunity. And there has definitely been a lot of opportunities along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about OMO?
I am the founder of OMO which provides life & leadership coaching & guidance. I guide and empower people through one-on-one sessions to revitalize the way they lead their lives through helping them fully understand the effect and influence they have in the world. The goal is to help awaken their greater power. We do this with a baseline of Human Design and interweave other tools, meditations, and reflection exercises. I am most proud of witnessing the transformation my clients experience and how they come out the other side having joy in all areas of their life while having the tools to tackle the tough moments.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson is a quote I constantly am reminded of which is “All great achievements require time” ~Maya Angelou
