Exploring Life & Business with Gregory Kajszo of Kajszo Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Kajszo

Hi Gregory, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got started with user-generated content (UGC) a few years ago when I was looking for ways to kickstart a business. Creating UGC was not only fun for me, but it also provided a steady stream of work.

Simultaneously, I was making videos on my social media pages just for enjoyment. One of these was a video where I gave ChatGPT $500 of my own money to invest in the stock market on my behalf. That particular video went viral and currently has nearly 2 million views.

It catapulted my profile into influencer territory—I went from around 600 followers to 20,000 pretty quickly. Since then, I’ve grown this audience by consistently putting out fun and engaging content. Now, I have a wonderful and engaged following that I love interacting with.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Navigating the world of content creation has its challenges, especially when success is so dependent on algorithms. Some videos go absolutely viral on one platform but get no views on another. Sometimes, I spend days on a video, only for it to receive less attention than a 20-second joke clip.

Algorithms change constantly and may not favor certain topics, and occasionally, you might even be shadowbanned (temporarily silenced by the algorithm) without ever being notified. While these fluctuations are manageable when creating for fun, they can be devastating when your livelihood depends on it.

Another significant challenge is portraying the value of online marketing to clients who might not yet understand its purpose. Many people underestimate digital marketing—like UGC and micro-influencing—even though I believe it’s more powerful than traditional commercials in 2024.

Some clients only want to work with huge influencers who have millions of followers. What smaller influencers bring to the table is intimacy with their following, authenticity, and dedication to brands. We don’t want a revolving door of ads thrown at our audience; we aim to establish ongoing relationships with brands we trust. When that happens, it’s magic!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I create videos for my own social media channels and produce UGC ads that brands use on their platforms or on dedicated profiles that I help create. My personal niches include “early adopter” videos where I try out burgeoning tech—specifically AI, luxury travel videos where I share my recommendations on destinations and activities, and generally anything I find fun. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with some amazing brands, like Casamigos, LegalZoom, Meta, and iRestore!

My UGC content primarily targets products for males in their 30s, including items not traditionally marketed to men, like skincare.

What sets me apart is my focus on authenticity and building genuine connections with my audience. I’m most proud of cultivating a highly engaged and outstanding following that I love interacting with. I strive to bring a fresh perspective to the content I create, whether it’s exploring new technology or highlighting unique travel experiences.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Los Angeles is my favorite city in the world! I grew up in Southern California and truly believe it’s the best place to be.

My favorite aspects of LA are its rich cultural diversity, the incredible food scene, the unique architecture and history, and the ambition that brings so many transplants here. The mix of cultures and ideas creates an inspiring environment that’s hard to find anywhere else.

What I like least is the lack of sanitation in public spaces. People just throw trash everywhere! It’s embarrassing when visitors comment on the trash that’s in every parklet and roadside. It doesn’t reflect the true beauty and potential of LA, and I hope we can find solutions to improve this aspect of our city.
