Exploring Life & Business with Craig Abrams of CADC – Craig Abrams Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Abrams.

Craig, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I actually started my career in a completely different world… advertising in New York City. Ten years of pitching brands and chasing deadlines taught me hustle, but it also taught me I didn’t want to spend my life behind a desk.

That shift really started after a bad knee injury back in 8th grade derailed my dream of playing sports. Rehab became my obsession—and eventually, my personal mission. After years of trying to fix myself with every diet and workout trend, I realized I wanted to help other people do the same… only better.

So I traded in my agency badge for a stethoscope (well, figuratively) and went back to school for chiropractic and rehab. It’s been a wild ride since—building a practice here in LA focused on solving pain at its root, not just chasing symptoms.

Today, I get to work with athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday people who want to move better and live bigger. Whether it’s a cyclist trying to crush a fondo or a dad trying to keep up with his kids, I love being the guide that helps them get “unstuck” and back in control.

That’s the quick-and-dirty version—but honestly, I’m just getting started.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth? Not even close. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Building a practice from scratch in a city like LA—where there’s a chiropractor on every corner—definitely had its challenges. Early on, I wrestled with imposter syndrome, burnout, and the constant hustle of trying to prove myself. There were months where I wondered if I’d made a huge mistake leaving a stable career.

But honestly, the biggest struggle was personal: learning to let go of the idea that I had to “fix” everyone overnight. I had to shift from chasing quick results to trusting a process—and teaching my patients to do the same.

Along the way, I also learned that running a business is a lot like training… it’s the reps that matter. You show up, you get a little better every day, and eventually you look back and realize you’ve built something stronger than you thought possible.

So no, it hasn’t been smooth. But every bump taught me something—and I’m still learning.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At its core, my practice is built around one simple belief: you don’t have to live in pain—and you don’t have to settle for quick fixes.

I run a chiropractic and rehab clinic in Culver City that specializes in root-cause care. That means we don’t just crack your back and send you on your way. I take people through a system designed to figure out why they’re hurting, get them out of crisis mode, and build them back stronger—so the problem doesn’t come back six months later.

I work with cyclists, athletes, busy professionals, and everyday movers. What sets me apart? I don’t believe in cookie-cutter treatments or chasing symptoms. Every plan is personalized, blending hands-on therapy, corrective exercise, mindset coaching, and a healthy dose of accountability.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the community we’ve built—people who want more for their health, who are willing to show up, do the work, and trust the process. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being committed.

If I could leave readers with one takeaway, it’s this: Your body isn’t broken. It’s just asking for the right kind of attention. And that’s exactly what we deliver.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just numbers on a spreadsheet or a booked-out schedule—it’s seeing people walk out of my office moving better, feeling stronger, and knowing they’ve taken control of their health.

It’s when a patient texts me after a ride saying, “I finally finished without pain.” Or when someone tells me they didn’t just get better—they got their confidence back.

On a personal level, success means building a life where I can do meaningful work, stay connected to my family, and still make time for the things I love—like riding bikes, being outdoors, and helping others push past their limits.

At the end of the day, success is simple: it’s showing up, doing good work, and making a real difference in people’s lives.
