Today we’d like to introduce you to Colette Ady.
Hi Colette, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From the earliest I can remember; I grew up with parents that were emotionally, mentally and physically abusive to each other. We had a roof over our heads but zero income. By default, I was highly independent, driven and had a desire to live a life that never put me in this position again…. It was no surprise that I was pregnant by age 15 and my brother was doing every drug that he could get his hands on. Pregnancy did not stop my ambition, it actually motivated me more. I dropped out of high school at age 16 and was working full time by age 17 so that I didn’t need a government hand-out. By age 18, I was in the automotive business where I spent the next 20 years of my life. I climbed the ladder and made it to the finance department where I was making well over 6 figures, with zero high school diploma and not much more than a 10th grade education. This allowed me to buy multiple homes by myself and give my kids everything I never had. In the beginning of 2020, I contracted Covid19 and was laid off from the car business with hardly anything in savings. At this point, I knew I was destined for more. I knew I was here to make an impact and was deeply desiring to be of service to humanity. The universe continued to support me and my children over the next couple of years as I dove deep into my own healing, transformation and spiritual awakening. In the beginning of 2021, I filed my LLC and opened my first business as a Mindset & Empowerment coach for Empaths and highly sensitive women. I also created a product line of handmade coasters, wine glasses and spiritual gifts. I have spent the last couple of years letting go of the idea of what I thought I wanted and needed and dropping into what my soul has been calling in. These years have been the best years of my life as I have learned the importance of life and what matters the most to me, which is connection and impact.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been a lot of struggles, most of which came from my mindset and the way I viewed the world. Once I was able to take radical responsibility for myself, my feelings and my actions, everything became so much smoother because I realized that I was the creator of my personal reality.
As you know, we’re big fans of Find Your Freedom. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a Mindset & Empowerment Coach for Empaths and Highly Sensitive Women. Together we work on their thoughts, patterns and behaviors to see where they are stuck. We shift their internal narrative and work on finding evidence that is supportive and empowering for them and their vision. Through support, accountability and guidance, we are able to shift their limiting beliefs, increase their confidence and in turn, change everything in their lives. It’s my goal to help guide women back home to themselves so that they can remember their personal power and what lights them up. Empathy and sensitivity truly are superpowers and it’s important for me to show that to these women. I am extremely compassionate, but I also keep it super REAL, no sugar coating or co-signing anyone’s disempowering stories. What sets me apart is the depth at which I meet people, the vulnerability and the level of support I offer. I am proud of the truth that my brand speaks, the transformation it is bringing to people and the overall better world I am helping to create. I also have a line of beautiful handmade spiritual gifts that I LOVE creating and that bring joy to so many people. If anyone out there is feeling stuck, confused or anxious, I want them to know the impact and transformation that having the right coach can bring. When you have someone that is able to see things in you that you don’t even see, it can literally shift your mindset and light a fire within your soul. The right accountability and support will change anyone’s life. My services are available in many different offerings that can be found by connecting with me on Instagram.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think risks are necessary in all aspects of life. I also think there is a big difference in taking irresponsible risks versus calculated risks. If you want the type of life that people only dream of, then you have to take risks. The comfort zone is where your dreams go to die. I have taken major risks financially, personally and in my business. I have taken money that I needed and invested it instead, which brought me big financial returns. I have also invested money that I didn’t have into my own coaches and mentors because I knew that with big risk comes big reward. I walked away from a very lucrative career after 20 years in order to follow my heart and soul and pursue something where I could create an impact in the world and help people.
