Today we’d like to introduce you to Agnes Suparman.
Hi Agnes, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a little girl, I became a flower girl in a lot of the church weddings as couples started getting married, and that is where my love for weddings started. I wanted to be in weddings but more than anything I wanted to help people getting married.
Growing up and into adulthood I became the go-to girl for planning events, vacations, getaways and all of the above. Then someone told me, why don’t you plan events for a living? I honestly had no idea that it was a career I could pursue, so I looked into schooling and certificate courses to take – everything that I could to learn as much as possible. I eventually became a Certified Meeting & Events Planner as well as a Certified Wedding Planner. That was back in 2013 and I’ve never looked back!
Today we are a team of 10 and growing as we move forward into planning more and more events. To say we are blessed is an understatement.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road leading to where we are today, and I don’t think it ever will be. You’ll always have some points of pressure or opposition, but that is what honestly makes us as people and individuals stronger. I struggled in the beginning with wedding planning part-time while I had a full-time job as many entrepreneurs do because of the financial aspect.
Growing a business from the ground up also isn’t easy, and there’s a lot to learn as you go. Managing your time, managing people, managing expectations – all of it. But it’s the best learning experience I have ever had and I don’t think any sort of job training could have prepared me for what I know today.

What’s next?
My plans for the future include a lot of travel and new experiences with my family. I also hope to grow our team into a network of women who love what they do and love to serve others.
