Exploring Life & Business with Brittany Bratton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Bratton.

Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always knew I wanted to help people but it took me a while to figure out exactly how. I graduated from the University of Tennessee where I studied psychology. Post-college, I was studying counseling in graduate school and I quickly realized I was in the wrong career path. I quit graduate school after finishing one year and decided to pursue a career in sales. After a successful eight years in corporate sales, I found myself feeling empty each day after work. I loved the company I worked for, my co-workers, my salary, my living situation, everything felt right except for my purpose. I wanted a life full of purpose and passion! I decided to change my path again and pursue fitness. I became a certified nutritionist, a personal trainer and shortly after launched my online coaching business. I was also a personal trainer at Equinox in Marina del Rey in 2019 and through 2020 until covid lockdown was in place. Once this happened, I focused all my efforts on my online coaching business.

I work with women only and help them achieve their body composition goals by focusing on nutrition, fitness at home or in the gym, mindset and goal setting. I feel incredibly grateful to help women discover their confidence again, to educate women on how to nourish their body and achieve their fitness and health goals. And the best part is, I don’t ever dread Mondays. I am excited to get out of bed each day. I am so grateful to help women feel better, look better, and achieve their health goals. I lead by example, and I take my job very seriously. I am also a bikini competitor as of this year. Although having confidence and looking fit is a great benefit of this lifestyle, at the core, this is about longevity and health.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was figuring out how to get started with my quest. Partly because I was living in Manhattan Beach close to the water and I wanted to become a personal trainer and pursue a career in fitness which is not very lucrative at first. This held me back for years because I kept imagining it was not possible to sustain my life and I couldn’t see the path. But then I decided to take a year off, sell all my belongings and work abroad in Brisbane, Australia to find some mental clarity. I was working part-time in Australia and spent the rest of the time working out, relaxing and reading books. I had so much time to think and be still that I started imaging helping women worldwide from my laptop. I starting focusing on getting my certifications and building my social networks. Of course starting and running a business has many expenses and complications when you are figuring everything out. I feel alot of momentum with my business and although I have a long way to go, doing what I love each and every day, I am happy to sacrifice many things for this fulfillment.

As you know, we’re big fans of Brittanys Quest LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I help women discover their most confident, fit selves. I offer custom meal plans based on the woman’s dietary preferences and needs. I customize everything based off what she enjoys to eat and what she needs to hit her body composition goals. My approach is known as “flexible dieting.” It is not a rigid diet. You can work in “fun” less healthy foods from time to time. Really it’s about consistency and adherence and it’s a lifestyle that I help women see that when they create balance, they can sustain this once they finish their program. The goal is to help women maintain their results and a live a life feeling and looking their best.

I also stress the importance of weight training, whether that is done with bodyweight or added weights. I am passionate about exercise execution so I help women understand the mind/muscle connection and to really tune into their body in order to expedite results. Lastly, I coach them on their mindset and help them create clarity around their goals and we create action plans to achieve them. I am most proud to see women transform their mindset on food and in turn, transform their physique and confidence. I am also very proud to be building a community of women that lift and support each other.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe my passion for what I do is very apparent. I love to learn and continue to seek guidance from the best in their respective fields. I lead by example and inspire women to believe in theirselves in order to feel and look their best. I believe work ethic is always at the core of those who are extremely successful.
