Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road as my life has been full of challenges such as being mentally, emotionally, psychologically, abused as a child and molested and struggling with identifying issues and not knowing my worth, almost losing both of my children at the same time, going through a divorce and almost losing everything, having ectopic pregnancy that leads to emergency surgery and losing the tube, etc. The struggles were not being able to financially support my children and provide them with the bare necessities after the divorce. Getting up and staying up on my feet after the divorce was a fight and one that I refuse to lose. So I made up in my mind that as a woman I will do my best to empower and encourage when through my struggles. Most of the struggles for me was mental and not letting up and allowing life challenges best me down. As a child who struggled with knowing my worth cost me a lot of heartaches and allowing people to disrespect me because I did not know my boundaries. I can go on and on, but the mental struggle is real and I wish non of the pain, shame, guilt, and hurt on my worse enemy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the chief and editor of NBQ Magazine and I interview people so they get noticed? I specialize in empowering women to love themselves unapologetically and seek fulfillment through Christ and step out and be the best version of themselves.
I am known for empowering women
I am most proud of not giving up on my dreams and continuing the road to success.
Seeing people become who God called them to makes me stand out because it gives them the spotlight they never had and sheds light on their gifts and abilities.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I am very transparent and an open book most people to give them hope and belief in themselves. I love to see people win so I’m always putting myself in a position to be the answer to someone’s prayer.
