Daily Inspiration: Meet Wendi Morrison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendi Morrison

Hi Wendi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I migrated from Studio City to Three Rivers, which is a tiny village in the hills of Central California, at the entrance to Sequoia National Forest/Park; in 2007.
I wanted to create an animal sanctuary and spiritual retreat for seekers who need a reprieve from the sensory overload the city vibrates at.
I worked with Laurel Kinder from Kinder Rescue doing animal advocacy; my desire to create the animal sanctuary grew from that experience.
Animals need healing just as people do. I created Pixie’s Place at OrangeRay to bring the two forces together to help each other.
I am an artist; singer-songwriter, and shaman. I’ve spent over 30 years honing my intuitive/energetic skills: Sound Healing, Animal Communication, Soul Coaching, Crystal Therapy, Psychology of P.T.S.D. etc. to be of service at this moment in humanities history.
I also grew up in the film industry, thus exploring “New Media” filmmaking, allowed me to create a forum for the animals to also contribute. They have participated in both my films: “This is not dying”, and “Camp OrangeRay” a rockumentary that tells my story, of the work I am doing here in the Forest, by the River. My catalog of music can also be heard in both films.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having, is easily achieved.
Everything happens for a reason!
What does not kill you, makes you stronger!
Go with the flow.
Know when it’s time to walk away!
Trust in your path.
Know thyself!

…words to live by…wink

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
There are true artists, and there are people who do art.
True artists break rules, are unconventional, think for themselves, and create for themselves…because they are compelled to.
It’s not about reward, or fame; it’s about pure creation!
I specialize in being myself, and no one else. Executed with authenticity, integrity, and individuality.
I consider myself an artist’s Muse, as my job, is to validate others, and give them “permission” to be themselves.
I live my art, I am my art; this is what I am most proud of as an accomplishment.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck is more about recognizing synchronicities; drawing outside the lines; trusting your gut, and understanding the value of timing.
I don’t see anything as “bad” merely a challenge to overcome and learn from.
My life has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Learning how to navigate under pressure is vital to manifestation.
As stated prior, everything happens for a reason!
