Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie Thendres

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Thendres.

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My background is in fashion, but I was introduced to the bridal and beauty industry while I was in college. Curious to learn more, I enrolled in a summer beauty course and ended up loving it.

Although I turned the beauty skills I developed into a side job, I never thought being a bridal makeup artist could become my full-time career. But by October 2020, Covid had opened my eyes, pushing me to get out of my comfort zone and start Bridesnest.

People thought I was crazy to start a business when so many were closing, but I did it anyway, and I’m glad I was brave enough to be crazy.

In 2021, it was like a wedding bomb dropped, and everyone who postponed their wedding in 2020 rescheduled and booked bridal services, which was when Bridesnest took off!

In early 2022, I expanded my business by opening a studio and second company, Browsnest, a permanent makeup service that I’m excited to continue growing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not!

I always wanted Bridesnest to be a one-stop shop where brides wouldn’t need to worry about their beauty services on their big day. Finding the right team was my biggest struggle, but I’m grateful to have formed a solid team of hair and makeup artists who can accommodate the needs of brides and their bridal parties with no headaches.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in bridal hair and makeup services. At Bridesnest, we’re proud to work with brides and personalize their needs, but my personal style involves natural, glowy, and soft glam look.

Our ultimate goal is to create elegant final results by enhancing each bride’s beautiful features, so they’ll still recognize themselves when they look back on their big day.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
God and my family have always been my greatest mentors and supporters. They’re always there for me no matter what, and I want to thank them for continuing to cheer me on.

Everything has been quick and crazy since 2020, but it’s been the most enjoyable roller coaster ride full of learning and growing, and I’m so excited to see what the future brings.
