Today we’d like to introduce you to Serob Harutyunyan.
Hi Serob, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a film director by profession, but I have loved to take pictures of my entire life. It all started when I started traveling often and started taking pictures of beautiful buildings and cityscapes. And then when I moved to live in Los Angeles, I realized that food photography is not so developed here and decided to do food photography. From the very first day, I started working with real clients with restaurants. And now orders are coming on the advice of old clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For me it wouldn’t be said that it was smooth because I was in a new city in a new world and I spent almost two months doing research and looking at photographers who showed and photographed everything and then I only started doing it myself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Now I specialize in food photography and product photography. I learn almost every day, I watch, read and do research to always be on trend. I think my difference is that I always meet my clients halfway and work with flexible pricing. With me can work small and large businesses.
How do you think about luck?
I generally consider myself lucky and I think I was lucky in this too. Because many people start taking photos for free to build a portfolio, but I worked with real clients from the very first day.
