Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronald Wilson

Hi Ronald, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Ronald Wilson my husband and I started our business in 2010 in Florida doing custom hand beading and rhinestone embellishments for pageants and weddings. We moved to California in 2011 and didn’t do anything in the area until the pandemic. I was going hiking with my dogs and I noticed that all of the dogs that I saw were either wearing the same thing or they were very plain. So I decided to create something for my dogs to stand out lol . My current job had laid me off after being with them for years. I was also sitting at home watching a lot of YouTube and an influencer said if you aren’t using this time to start a business what are you doing and it just clicked. I could do sparkles items for dogs and Rhinestone master creations was reborn with a new focus on pets in 2020. I started off just posting my items on instagram and looking for pets that reflected the vision of what I thought a fabulous dog or cat would look like. I was blessed to find my first brand model from Canada (Prince_louis_113th) who introduced me to the world of pet fashion moms and dads which can be just as competitive and kids pageants and how to introduce my brand to that type of customer.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been an easy road. I have been copied by a few other people who make items like mine but are lower price point and lower quality. The hardest part is getting people to understand the difference between a hand made one of a kind items that you can’t get at a Walmart or Petsmart that’s mass produced.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My regular 9-5 job I work in the beauty and skincare industry and I have been doing it for over 30 years. I also had my own cosmetic business before the internet was popular lol. I am most proud of my ability to introduce things that I love to people and have them embrace those things.

What set me apart from others is that each item is handmade by us they aren’t mass produced from overseas. We also try to be waist conscious by up cycling some of our items like our denim dress and jackets that we beach and custom dye to create a one of a kind item.
