Daily Inspiration: Meet Nikita Grinenko

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikita Grinenko

Hi Nikita, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The first acquaintance with the tattoo machine occurred out of curiosity in 2015, for the most part. At that time I knew a tattoo artist. I was wondering if it was difficult to get tattoos. I asked him to show me and he showed me. I tried it and finished it right away) It seemed wildly difficult)
But a year later, I returned to this idea again, but with confidence and the mood to learn. That’s how my first steps in the industry began.
I’m mostly self-taught. One master showed me the basics . Everything else is done by myself, by trial and error. I started with graphics, but after 3-4 years I came to 3rl.
I have been tattooing for more than 8 years and the first half of the journey was difficult.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As I said earlier, the first half of the journey was difficult. Since I am self-taught (for the most part), I had to learn everything myself.
Yes, there were some basics, but they were very superficial. Plus, these are induction machines. Blocks, wires, machine settings, how to insert them correctly, and so on) And that’s not to mention the tattoo itself)
You look at the cool guys on Instagram and think, “how do they do it???”. Especially when I discovered 3rl and miniature tattoos. Then you sit and unravel their secrets)

Most of the hardships were in this.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My specialty is microrealism (if you can call it that).
Small, detailed jobs that require painstaking work.
At tattoo conventions, I mostly participate in the “small tattoo” nominations. I have prizes in this nomination.
About “be proud”…haha it’s not about me) I am very self-critical

What makes you happy?
I think it’s the tattoo itself. I like doing this. The creation process itself is up to the final result.
Well, the happy owners of these tattoos, of course)
