Daily Inspiration: Meet Lori Livingston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Livingston.

Hi Lori, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. 
Hello, my name is Lori Livingston! I am a mom, an actor, A Model, an Influencer, & an Author, just to name a few! I am originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania! The capital of Pennsylvania! I am one of the first to accomplish great success outside of my hometown! I grew up w/ my Mom & My Brother… we definitely were not rich, & often struggled. My Mom sent my brother & I to a private Boarding School, called, “MILTON HERSHEY SCHOOL”! It’s a boarding school centered around helping inner-city impoverished youth! The best way to describe my experience with MHS is very reminiscent of “The Fresh Prince of Belair”! I went from poverty to wealth overnight… the school helped me to grow into the person that I am today! Where if I’d stayed in my hometown… I highly doubt that I’d be the same person today. I entered a beauty contest post-graduation, where I became Ms. Harrisburg! This led me to modeling representation & ultimately to QVC where I modeled for 8yrs before transferring to HSN! This led to being a Dancer on BET & RIP THE RUNWAY! This led to modeling for top designers like, “Badgley Mishcka, IMAN, ZANG TOI, VALENTINO, TWIGGY, CHARLES NOLAN, PETER SOM, NAEEM KHAN…”! In places like NEW YORK FASHION WEEK, PARIS FASHION WEEK, MIAMI SWIM FASHION WEEK, in London & LA! Today I am still very much a Model, though I’ve also begun to share my life experiences w/ many through my motivational messages on my TikTok page which has over 70k followers & counting! I am also now an actor who is currently promoting my latest film, “The McFaltons” scheduled to hit the film festivals as soon as possible! But some of my credits in TV are, “GREYS ANATOMY, & MARVEL.” As well as many feature films. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! Any hurdle that could be thrown at me certainly came! Most of my struggles were experiencing a lot of fraud. Ppl who weren’t at all whom they claimed to be regarding an aspect of my career! Many sabotaging ppl out there that do not want to see you win! They will resist your abilities to proceed forward every chance they get! I’ve certainly had my fair share of this… it is never easy! But I never gave up! 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a creative! I’d love to label myself as just an actor or just a Model, but I’d be limiting myself! I am creative! I am open to explore & become everything I set out to be! I am proud of all of my accomplishments! They are all wins!!! It is not easy to follow your dreams! Most give up or give in after adversity… I use as fuel to keep going! I am most proud of my ability to have work with many of Hollywood’s top Actors & actresses of our time! I most proud of having modeled for some of the biggest names in Fashion! I’m most proud to speak into the lives of millions a positive word daily for several years as an influencer… I’m most proud of my children’s book, “But Beauty wasn’t Within Me” still selling on Amazon for over 3yrs! I am most proud of me! We are all special in our own way… what sets me apart of knowing that! 

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I am definitely open to work w/ ppl & collaborate! I find it exciting to experience other ppl’s idea of how they see me! It’s not about being at the absolute top… it’s about working with ppl doing what you love at any level that you find yourself.
