Today we’d like to introduce you to Jon Moore
Hi Jon, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I’m a marketer at the core. My journey started at independent record labels, where I quickly found myself working as a tour manager for the renowned hip-hop group Slum Village. This led to touring with acts like The Roots, Guru, and Talib Kweli, which eventually provided the network and opportunity to launch my own marketing agency.
From there, I worked closely with Interscope Records and a number of recording artists, the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal, Sony Pictures, Paramount Home Video, Warner Bros. Pictures, Antoine Fuqua, Magic Johnson, and more.
My body of work includes co-founding and leading a successful entertainment marketing agency, structuring Fortune 500 partnerships, developing complex e-commerce websites, producing arena concerts, and directing national marketing and advertising campaigns for movies, fashion brands, and entertainment companies. Further, I’ve obtained editorial press coverage with major national media outlets, appearing personally with media outlets such as The LA Times, ABC7, ESPN Radio, Hot1079, and the Huffington Post, to name a few.
Currently, I’m leading the marketing efforts for a custom fine-jewelry brand in Los Angeles, while still finding time to run my e-commerce fashion line, ‘Locally Grown Brand’, which features LA neighborhood-themed designs. On top of that, I still find time to express my creativity through my photography work.
When I’m not helping brands and artists achieve their goals, I’m usually either shooting photos, producing content, writing, catching a Dodger game, or hitting the beach. I’d love to keep expanding my photography portfolio, so anyone interested in working together should definitely hit me up!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s rarely smooth, but I’ve learned to view challenges as opportunities to grow. When things don’t go as planned, I remind myself to shift my perspective and adapt. One of my biggest struggles has been balancing multiple projects while giving each the time and attention it deserves. It’s easy to feel stretched thin, but those moments have taught me the importance of prioritizing what truly matters and finding creative ways to make it all wor
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a marketer, I help companies drive revenue by elevating their branding, their online presence and digital advertising, PR, Publicity, and event marketing, among other things. As a photographer, I specialize in street, portrait, landscapes and youth sports. My clients have run the gamut from movie studios to clothing brands, independent artists, and real estate companies. As I mentioned, I’m currently leading the marketing for a fine jewelry brand that specializes in custom diamond engagement rings. When I’m not working on the jewelry brand, I’m working on my Locally Grown fashion brand, which features Los Angeles neighborhood themed designs on tee shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and hats.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Los Angeles is my favorite city on the planet. I’m in love with the beach, it’s my happy place and where I find my peace. Whether I’m going to bodysurf, meditate, workout, go for a walk, or to shoot photography, the beach never fails me. Beyond the beach, I love LA’s vibrant culture—the people, the food, the art, and of course, The Dodgers. This city is full of inspiration.
If I had to name something I dislike, it would probably be the 405 freeway. But even that’s a small price to pay for living in such an amazing place.
