Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerry Delcano.
Hi Jerry, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi my name is Jerry Delcano, born and raised in the Philippines. Moved to Houston back in 2011 and decided to move to Los Angeles, specifically in Hollywood area, in 2023. I am currently a student at Southern California Health Institute for Advanced Masssage Therapy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It certain was not smooth at all. I created my own path and each choice I made was another path with a set of choices to make. Los Angeles has much to offer and with that it I strayed away from the path I primarily wanted. But through that, I discovered a deeper calling which is to provide hollistic healing though massage therapy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Specifically, I found a passion for service and what I mean by that is, I wanted to provide massage therapy to service the communities that I am passionate about. I love being of service to queer, BIPOC, and underserved communities. These communities have helped me become who I am today, and with that I wanted to give back and be of service. I think this would be a life long work or goal of mine. It’s still a work in progress and I am still trying to understand and study, in essence, the work I would provide to these communities.
How do you think about luck?
I believe luck are blessings in disguise. I believe that luck is a setup that we have placed upon ourselves and that we are totally unaware of. Universally, I believe, we are all aligned with what is going on around us and anything and everything that we do affects our surroundings and our future. So if ever I felt lucky, I am extremely humbled and blessed that in that moment, luck was on my side and provided me with what I needed to move forward.
