Daily Inspiration: Meet InJun Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to InJun Park

Hi InJun, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I was 14 I decided to pick up the clippers because I was tired of getting bad haircuts and experiences. Cutting hair was actually much easier than I thought and I ended up running a business out of the garage throughout high school. Servicing clients in salons and barbershops throughout my college years, made me realize I really wanted to have my own place where I can call home for my clients and I. Once I got my degree for business and license to cut hair, I set out to LA where I opened my hair studio; Final Draft.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was not a smooth road as I didn’t agree with where the hair industry was at. From painting the walls to taxes, there were many things I had to learn about being a business owner, the most challenging being social media marketing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Two things happen inside Final Draft, education on hair styling/care and finding hairstyles that are catered towards the individual’s head shape. My clients come to me because they trust my suggestions on what looks good and is good for the hair which comes from over a decade in industry experience and traveling the world. I believe your hairstyle is your crown.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
The biggest risk I made was transitioning from one of the best barbershops to opening up my own business. I was not a risk taker before moving to LA. However, I was eager to find out what I am capable and I understood that I will not find out without taking risks. I believe that if you truly want something, you will eventually get sick of just thinking about it. My curiosity and the desire for more forced me to take risks.
