Hi G. S., it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My story is a tapestry woven with words, humor, and a dash of unpredictability. It all began with no passion or interested for storytelling, let alone writing actual books. I was the kid in school that watched movies to write my book reports because I was too busy playing sports with my friends. In a somewhat ironic twist, during my childhood I spent hours working in my father’s book bindery business. To say I wasn’t enthused by spending my afterschool hours and limited amount of daylight time at my father’s book bindery business would be an understatement. 

After a seven-year stint in the Navy and earning a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, my professional journey took unexpected turns. The world of payment card security became my day-to-day. 

Fast forward to today, and I find myself holding the title of a 9x award-winning author. Multiple Amazon #1 Best Sellers later, my stories have resonated with readers in ways I could have only dreamed. From uproarious comedies to thought-provoking satires, each book is a unique expedition into the realms of humor and insight. 

Family, laughter, and the absurdities of life are my muses, and I strive to infuse these elements into every narrative. Hysterical Hangouts with The Hindlegs, a recent creation, is a testament to this commitment. This story about a family navigating the unpredictable journey of life is not just a tale; it’s an immersive experience designed to elicit laughter and introspection.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to becoming an award-winning author has been anything but smooth – it’s been a rollercoaster of challenges, rejections, and unexpected detours. 

Navigating the marketing landscape poses its own set of challenges. In a world flooded with content, standing out is no easy task. Building visibility for my work requires creative approaches and strategic thinking. Overcoming the hurdles of marketing became an art in itself, with each book launch presenting new lessons on reaching and engaging with readers. 

The self-publishing route, while liberating, also came with its share of complexities. From understanding the intricacies of the publishing process to ensuring a professional presentation, there was a learning curve. Balancing creative expression with the demands of the industry added layers of challenge that, in retrospect, contributed to my growth as an author. 

And let’s not forget the uphill battle of introducing humor into genres that aren’t traditionally bursting with laughter. Trying to make a satirical point about family dynamics or real estate adventures while keeping the reader in stitches? Now, that’s a tightrope walk worth noting. 

But every stumble and hiccup has been a lesson, a chance to refine my craft, and an opportunity to share a good laugh with readers. Because the journey isn’t complete without a few pratfalls along the way.

I am a 9x award-winning and Amazon Best-selling author with a passion for crafting stories that bridge the realms of humor, satire, and the unexpected. My writing explores the complexities of the human experience, often through the lens of family dynamics, absurd situations, and the quirks of everyday life. 

What sets me apart is the fusion of laughter and insight that are woven into my narratives. Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most pivotal lessons on this journey has been the importance of defining my own version of success. In a world filled with diverse paths and varying expectations, understanding what success means to me is critical. 

Early on, I found myself navigating the traditional markers of success – accolades, rankings, and external validations. However, the true epiphany came when I realized that success, for me, wasn’t just about the number of awards or bestseller rankings. While those are undoubtedly gratifying, they are merely facets of a larger picture. 

Success, in its essence, became about connecting with readers, eliciting laughter, and sparking moments of reflection. It’s about crafting stories that resonate, entertain, and leave a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who embark on these literary adventures. The joy of hearing from a reader who found solace in laughter or discovered a new perspective – that, to me, is the true measure of success. 

In a world where benchmarks and expectations can be overwhelming, defining success on my terms has liberated the creative spirit. It has allowed me to revel in the joy of storytelling and focus on the intrinsic value of the narratives I weave. The journey is not just about reaching a destination but about relishing every step, every twist, and every unexpected turn along the way. 

So, the lesson learned is clear – success is a personal odyssey, and embracing that uniqueness has made this journey all the more fulfilling and meaningful.
