Daily Inspiration: Meet Corey Braggs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Braggs.

Hi Corey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
FMB started in December 2018. It was a rough year for me. I had been shot, incarcerated as well as dealing with deaths in the family. So I began to search for something to occupy my time. During this time, I decided to take music serious, as well as getting into fashion. The first of FMB was getting the name registered (2018). Then came the logo (2019), last would be the production of shirts in February 2020. Now I sell my merchandise regularly, especially with the help of a series of pop-up shops “Vibes of LA”. A pop-up strictly for expanding minority business owners.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a bumpy road with a lot of road blockages, but with the help of family and supporters, I overcame those obstacles. Some of the blockages were me being shot, incarceration, death of family members, and COVID 19.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the CEO of my brand. I’m an upcoming music mogul, photographer, manager, visionary, and public figure. I’m known for my music, leadership, and accountability. I’m most proud of me taking a leap of faith and getting started. What sets me apart from others is my will, determination, and passion to elevate.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me the most is longevity. The reason why is because many others have had some of these same opportunities and come up short. I want to build a brand that is everlasting.
