Daily Inspiration: Meet Cole Wells

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cole Wells.

Hi Cole, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I got my first acting job at two years old. I was in a music video and that opened me up to the world of acting. From there, I started doing shorts, festival films, commercials, and modeling. When I was 10, I stopped screen acting and moved to theatre. I performed in plays and musicals all throughout junior high and high school.

At 15, I decided I wanted to start doing film again so I’ve been rebuilding my network and filling in my resume. I’ve also started working as a makeup artist for modeling agencies and editorial shoots. I am an avid music fan and have released original music as well as multiple covers with music videos.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road. I moved to Texas during high school and there were not many acting opportunities in the area. Social media has also made a huge impact in the development of the industry during the last few years so coming back, I’ve had to make a lot of adjustments.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative who leans towards out of the box and unusual skill sets. I am known for my special skills, which include martial arts, circus arts, and accents. As a makeup artist, I’ve created two original photo series where I played photographer, makeup artist, creative director, and location scout. I’m a renaissance woman who prides herself on being able to switch roles at the drop of a hat.

What are your plans for the future?
My plan/biggest dream is to move into the UK market. I would love to be able to split my time between England and America, both as an actor and producer. My mom and I launched a production company a few years ago and I plan on making projects that emphasize quality and highlight new faces.
