Today we’d like to introduce you to Chaityn Isaacson-Brewster.
Hi Chaityn , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a LA-based personal trainer and professional dancer. After graduating with a college dance degree from UC Irvine, I decided to move to LA to pursue dance in the commercial dance industry. Over the last few years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of artists, including Ray J, Sasy, Jake Miller, and other international artists through the DCP Creative. I’ve also worked with the modern dance company, dNaga.
Often we would be in rehearsals for long hours and it was important for us dancers to fuel properly and cross train outside of the studio. I recognized the importance of maintaining a balanced fitness routine and I saw firsthand how a consistent workout regimen, proper nutrition, and stress management were key to peak performance. After a couple foot injuries, I decided to deepen my knowledge of fitness and became a NASM certified personal trainer. This passion for both dance and fitness led to the creation of MoveFit.
Today, I enjoy using my knowledge to help others not just meet their fitness goals, but to elevate their mindset and overall well-being. Through MoveFit, I’m dedicated to guiding clients in building strength, confidence, and a healthy lifestyle—both inside and outside of the gym.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh my gosh, definitely not! I mean there have been lots of challenges. I think the biggest one for me was how to let go of dancing as a professional career path and transition into fitness. The last few years following the Pandemic in LA have been a crazy ride. I was trying to do fitness, dance, and school at the same time and it wasn’t really working! I always felt like maybe there was a job I was missing or I wasn’t quite done, but I realized what I was waiting for was the permission to walk away and evolve.
Once I became clear on what I wanted, it became very easy to put the pieces into place.
Now working for myself, I’m challenging myself daily to build an online presence, strengthen my tech skills, and become a more confident communicator—and I’m genuinely enjoying the process.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My business is called MoveFit and I specialize in 1:1 personal training sessions. I design customized fitness plans to meet your goals depending on individual lifestyle and health!
The biggest thing that sets me apart is my background in dance because I experienced first hand the positive impact of exercise. I saw how having a consistent workout routine supported my dancing and helped me grow stronger everyday. The training itself is mostly weighted and circuit based. And it focuses on the whole person–taking into account the workout, nutrition, sleep, stress, and mindset. It’s not just about working out; it’s about creating habits that support your overall well-being.
Of everything I’ve done, I’m most proud of my personal journey. The growth, the pivots, and the courage it’s taken to evolve into who I am today. I do everything with heart and that’s the foundation that I’ve built my brand. That’s also the reason I put artist and creative–not just a business owner!
