Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Bacinski.
Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started out as a stay-at-home mom with a dream and a vision board. Writing was my lifeline — a way to make sense of love, loss, motherhood, and the quiet courage it takes to rebuild your life from scratch. Over time, my stories and lived experiences were shaped into art that became my books, and those books opened doors I never imagined possible.
I built my career as an author, filmmaker, and entrepreneur by following intuition over logic, faith over fear, and purpose over perfection. My first film project, On His Way Back to Me, was born out of heartbreak and healing, and it taught me how pain can be the seed of art. From there, I wrote Suburban Womxn — a bold, cinematic novel about identity, reinvention, and the undercurrents of suburban life with the goal and vision in mind to see it adapted onto screens as well.
Today, I’m the visionary behind multiple creative projects that merge storytelling, empowerment, and entrepreneurship. Every chapter of my journey has been about turning lived experience into legacy — taking the mess, the magic, and the miracles, and turning them into art that moves people.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Never a smooth road, but over time you get better at riding it out regardless of what life throws your way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an author, filmmaker, and creative visionary who believes storytelling is one of the most powerful forms of healing and connection. My work sits at the intersection of real life and art. I write about the things we think but rarely say out loud. My books, like Suburban Womxn and On His Way Back to Me, are emotional, cinematic, and deeply rooted in truth. I’m drawn to exploring womanhood, identity, and the quiet strength it takes to rebuild your life after loss.
What sets me apart is that I don’t create from theory or logic — I create from lived experience. Every story I write is something I’ve walked through, prayed over, witnessed or survived. I think that’s why readers feel my work on such a personal level — it’s not just fiction, it’s soul work disguised as storytelling.
I’m most proud of the way I’ve built my creative career from scratch, trusting my intuition every step of the way. Whether I’m developing a film, writing a novel, or building my brand, my mission is always the same: to turn real, human moments into art that makes people feel seen.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was a quiet, introspective girl — the kind who lived more in her imagination than in the outside world. I was shy, gentle, and happiest when I was writing stories, playing with my dolls, or exploring outside. My family didn’t have cable television and we weren’t allowed to watch much tv or play video games, so my childhood was beautifully analog — just books, pens, paper, and endless summer days. Looking back, that lack of digital distraction was a gift. It forced me to create my own world, to listen inwardly, and to rely on my imagination — which ultimately shaped me into the storyteller I am today.
After fifth grade, I slowly came out of my shell and learned how to balance the introvert and the performer in me. I’ve been told that I’m a bit like Marilyn Monroe — I can go from Norma Jean to Marilyn Monroe depending on the moment. I know when to shine and when to retreat, when to be the center of a room and when to disappear into my own creative cocoon. That duality has followed me into adulthood and fuels my art — the quiet observer and the expressive storyteller coexist inside me.
Even now, many of my childhood passions still live in my daily life. I write for a living, I create worlds from emotion, and I make time to honor that imaginative little girl who once turned boredom into magic. In many ways, I’m living the dream she once daydreamed about on her bedroom floor.
