Daily Inspiration: Meet Arteka Simone Robinson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arteka Simone Robinson.

Hi Arteka Simone, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Tales of Naomi and Noah began as a dream born from my love for storytelling and my desire to see more positive representation of children in animation. After finishing animation school, I decided to create something meaningful, stories that teach lessons about family, travel, education, and integrity.

When I started, I didn’t have a big team or a marketing budget, just passion, vision, and faith. I walked through my community, passing out flyers, talking to families, and sharing the purpose behind the channel. Every conversation helped build awareness and connection.

Over time, The Tales of Naomi and Noah grew into more than just a children’s storytelling channel, it became a movement of creativity, family, and empowerment. Today, I’m proud to lead this nonprofit animation company that continues to inspire children everywhere to dream big, embrace their roots, and believe that their stories matter.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all, but every challenge helped shape the journey. Starting The Tales of Naomi and Noah came with many obstacles. As an independent creator and nonprofit founder, I faced limited funding, long nights learning animation software, and the constant challenge of getting the community to believe in something new.

There were times when I walked door to door passing out flyers, unsure if anyone would watch or support the vision. I’ve worked countless hours on a broken keyboard and an old computer that still malfunctions occasionally, but I made it work because I believed in the purpose.

Through it all, my faith, determination, and love for storytelling kept me going. Each struggle taught me perseverance and reminded me why representation and integrity in children’s media are so important. Those hard moments made every small victory even more powerful.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the founder and president of The Tales of Naomi and Noah, a nonprofit animation and short film company dedicated to creating positive, educational, and family-centered stories featuring children. My work specializes in producing original animated tales that teach lessons about travel, integrity, culture, and community. Every story is crafted to uplift and inspire, while showing children that their voices and experiences matter.

What sets my work apart is that it’s deeply personal, I do all the animation myself and involve my own children as characters and storytellers. I’ve built this from the ground up, using creativity and faith instead of big budgets or fancy equipment.

I’m most proud of staying true to my mission: creating meaningful content with representation and heart. The Tales of Naomi and Noah isn’t just entertainment, it’s a movement built on love, culture, and purpose.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe luck has shown up in both good and challenging ways throughout my journey. There were moments that felt like bad luck, technical setbacks, a broken keyboard, an old computer that froze in the middle of projects, and times when support felt far away. But even those moments pushed me to grow stronger and find creative solutions.

At the same time, I’ve had good luck, meeting the right people at the right time, receiving unexpected opportunities, and seeing my work touch families I never imagined reaching. I’ve learned that what looks like bad luck can often be preparation for something greater.

In the end, faith, persistence, and purpose have mattered more than luck, but I’m grateful for every twist and turn that led me here.
