Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Braggins
Hi Andrew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My wife and I are both event planners by trade but we also love travel and regularly watched YouTube videos about our destinations. My wife always said I could produce better videos. I always dismissed the notion but in 2022 she really pushed it and suggested I give it a try so we started Braggins Adventures on YouTube. Now we are coming up on our 3rd anniversary for the channel in February and the ultimate goal is to do it full time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. We spent thousands of our own dollars to produce content because until August of 2024, we were not monetized by YouTube. We always justified it as “We’re traveling anyway so the money would be spent anyway.” but that was not always true. We would often pay for things we might not otherwise pay for simply to record it for the channel. On top of that, navigating the abundance of travel vloggers to find our niche was a long process and figuring out what people wanted to see added additional difficulties.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We record content for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Our core is Family Travel and Food and often focuses on budget tips for those subjects. We try to offer a more grounded approach to what we do and we don’t focus on any particular style of travel…similar to real families that vary their vacation plans and destinations. Finally hitting 1000 subscribers in August was a huge accomplishment as well as getting our first video sponsor.

This channel would not exist without Alyssa Braggins, my wife, pushing me to create it, Alan Braggins, my father for the Logo who also creates short form content for the channel with my mother, Karen Braggins, my kids for additional content creation, and the subscribers because without those viewers, we wouldn’t have a channel.
