Daily Inspiration: Meet Alex Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Springs.

Hi Alex, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From the very first time I stepped onto a stage in preschool, it was clear that music and performing wasn’t just a hobby. By fourth grade, I was already immersed in formal music training, joining the Alhambra Foundation of the Arts at Alhambra High School, and the Saturday Conservatory of Music at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, where I performed in both orchestra and choir.

My passion continued to flourish at Ramon C Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts in Downtown Los Angeles. It was there that I first picked up the guitar and joined the school’s classical guitar ensemble, orchestra, and choir.

After high school, I attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, earning an Associates Degree in Music. It was there that I honed my craft as a performer and songwriter, gaining the confidence to share my voice and vision with the world.

From jamming at open mic and jam nights across Los Angeles to joining different bands, and eventually forming my own band, I have evolved into a dynamic artist: singer, songwriter, guitarist, and band leader. With a blend of raw emotion, skill, and stage presence, I continue to build a career rooted in passion and dedication to the art of music.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Time and time again, I have witnessed the quiet strength of good-hearted people twisted by those still wrestling with their own pain. It’s a lesson learned through your own experience, the same selfish, competitive energy often seen in grade school can follow people into adulthood. It’s this grounded perspective rooted in resilience, empathy, and authenticity that continues to shape my artistry and outlook. In a world quick to judge, I try to remind us that kindness and self-assurance remain the most powerful forms of strength.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer, guitarist, and songwriter known for my raw energy, quirky stage presence, and unapologetically mismatched style. With an unwavering drive to pursue music no matter the obstacles, I continue to carve my own path. Offstage I’m just as genuine, always ready to lend a hand and connect with other through kindness and creativity.

How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t about fame and fortune. It’s about fulfillment. True success means achieving the dreams and goals you’ve worked toward, reaching a place where you can stand on your own two feet while also supporting the people who matter most. It’s finding stability, purpose, and joy in what you do every day and being able to keep doing it. At it’s core, success is about balance: living the life you’ve built, doing what you love, and sharing that love with others.
