Hi VIVEK, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
**Title: From the Kitchen to the Silver Screen: Vivek Reddy Musku’s Journey to Hollywood**

In 2017, I took my first steps toward becoming an actor. It was a passion I had long held, but after a few months, the journey became difficult. Without the support of my parents or friends, I felt demotivated and uncertain of my future in the industry. This led me down a different path—into the world of Hospitality and Tourism Management. I relocated to the UK, completed my master’s degree, and soon found myself working as a chef.

Though successful, I felt trapped. The kitchen walls closed in on me, and I realized I was missing something. This wasn’t my dream, nor was it the life I wanted. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was meant for something greater—something that sparked passion in me like acting once did. It was a difficult moment of truth, but one I had to confront.

I called my parents and told them everything. I wasn’t fulfilled; I wasn’t happy. That conversation shifted something in me, and I knew I needed to return to acting, even if the road ahead was long and uncertain. I didn’t know how the industry worked or what it would take to succeed, but I was ready to find out.

That’s when I made the bold choice to apply to the New York Film Academy. After getting my visa approved, I realized this was my second chance. Whether it took five years or ten, I committed myself to one goal: becoming a successful actor.

The journey at NYFA was intense. Reading scripts, analyzing characters, and immersing myself in the craft was far more challenging than I imagined. But it was also invigorating. I learned about directors, the art of cinematography, and how the film industry truly operates. With each class and every audition, I felt more connected to my purpose.

After graduation, I began taking on small roles in feature films. These weren’t blockbuster hits, but they were steps in the right direction. Today, I’m working on two feature films. Though my roles are modest, they represent something greater to me: progress and growth. I know that success doesn’t happen overnight, and I’ve learned that it’s the struggles that define you.

Consistency is key, and I’ve made it my mission to show up for myself every day. Whether I’m learning, performing, or simply waiting for the next opportunity, I remain patient. I’m committed to becoming one of the best actors out there. For me, it’s not just about landing the perfect role; it’s about the journey of evolving as an artist and a person.

Through it all, I’ve remained open-minded and kind, knowing that each experience teaches me something new. I’m grateful for the journey I’m on and am determined to continue growing. One day, I know my name will be on the marquee. Until then, I’m working, learning, and chasing my dream with everything I’ve got.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
as an Indian actor in Hollywood has been challenging. I’ve faced language barriers and the struggle for representation, as the industry often underrepresents brown actors. Despite these obstacles, I remain committed to my craft and believe that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. I’m determined to pave the way for more authentic representation in film and prove that talent knows no boundaries.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actor and model, focused on storytelling that resonates on a personal level. I specialize in film and TV roles that explore deep emotions and human connections. As an Indian actor in Hollywood, I’m passionate about breaking stereotypes and advocating for diverse representation. Every role, no matter the size, helps me grow, and I’m committed to pushing boundaries and carving out space for diverse voices in the industry.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
From the very beginning, my dad has been my real hero. While others doubted my decisions, he stood by me with unwavering faith. Even in the face of failure, when the odds seemed stacked against me, he never wavered. He believed that, despite the challenges, I would find success. That belief shaped my approach to every obstacle and opportunity, providing me with a foundation of strength to keep moving forward, no matter how difficult the road.

Throughout my journey, the support of my friends has been invaluable. They have been my rock, offering encouragement and laughter during moments of doubt. Their unwavering belief in me has fueled my perseverance, reminding me that growth is as important as the destination. Together, we celebrate the small victories and navigate the challenges, creating a strong support system that keeps me grounded.

My acting coaches and instructors have also played a crucial role in my development. Their guidance, constructive feedback, and belief in my potential have helped me unlock emotional depth in my performances. They’ve not only refined my craft but also kept me focused on my goals, providing wisdom and encouragement that have served as a steady hand through moments of uncertainty.

Moreover, my representation at The Kia Todd Agency has been a game-changer. Their belief in my potential and the opportunities they’ve connected me with have allowed me to grow, both as an actor and a model. They’ve encouraged me to take risks, push the boundaries of what I thought possible, and continuously evolve in my career. Without their support, my path would have looked very different.
