Hi Toni, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Honestly, I’ve always loved creating moments that feel special. It started super simple—helping family and friends decorate for parties, weddings, and celebrations. I’d get lost in the details: choosing colors, curating decor, and making sure everything looked picture-perfect. Over time, people started asking me to help with their events too, and before I knew it, something I loved doing just for fun became Specialty Events, a full-service Los Angeles event planning and design company. I’m obsessed with creating unforgettable experiences—from intimate gatherings to luxury celebrations. There’s nothing like watching people light up when they walk into a space I’ve transformed.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh, definitely not a smooth road—at all (lol). This economy hasn’t exactly made things easier. I currently house Specialty Events LA and our event space service at the South Bay Galleria. And we all know mall foot traffic isn’t what it used to be, so I’ve had to get really creative about how to shape that narrative while scaling my business. It’s been a real balancing act—figuring out how to bring people in, build visibility, and grow in a shifting environment. Challenging? Absolutely. But I’m learning, adapting, and evolving every day.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I run Specialty Events LA, a full-service event planning and design company where we turn ordinary spaces into unforgettable experiences. We do it all—event coordination, décor, we offer sevice like 360 photo booths, specialty picnics, and our very own event space right in the South Bay Area. What I love most is creating those wow moments people can’t stop talking about long after the party’s over. What really sets us apart is our personal touch, creative flair, and genuine passion for bringing people together to celebrate life moments.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Honestly, I wouldn’t be here without my people. My family has been my rock—they support me and give me the space to run full steam ahead with my vision. My friends are my biggest cheerleaders, always reminding me why I started and celebrating every win, big or small. My colleagues have shown up in amazing ways too, sharing resources and opening doors through networking. And of course, my clients… I’m nothing without them. They trust me, they believe in my work, and they let me do what I love most—creating unforgettable moments. That kind of support means everything.
