Hi The Water Bearer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up, I thought that my studies in school would ensure me the “American Dream”, but in my 20s, the reality of being a black + queer artist began to sink in. Struggling to make it in NYC ended up being the fertilizer for my true purpose!

I wish I had a flowery and positive story of how my businesses began…but i’m a “late-bloomer”, so all that I share now comes from pain, setbacks and struggle. Even my dance choreography is laced with memories of difficulty.

My connection to Astrology is as deep as it is due to how much I sought clarity thru it. And honey, my intuitive ability came from years of desperately seeking truth! lol

Lacking support from friends and family, I found strength and power in my budding relationship with the Divine, the occult and dance.

As I have grown, my businesses have grown as well! All that I share is a reflection of all that I have learned and experienced thus far! I’m glad that my tests and trials have become a testimony and a safe space for others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every planet in my birth chart aspects Saturn, so life has not been a smooth road AT ALL! Saturn rules over delayed gratification.

There have been nothing but delays and obstacles when I look back, but those upsets have beautifully shaped ‘The Water Bearer’s Tea’, my Holistic Spiritual Business and ‘Crane’, my business as a Professional Dance Choreographer!

I started my businesses in 2015 and gained around 2,000 followers on social media. But for 9 years this number remained the exact same, while the cost of living climbed. Despite following the algorithm, or consistently posting, my following did not grow. I was frequently overlooked and I struggled financially, for over a decade, to sustain myself.

I’ve faced near-eviction several times…but luckily my drive, paired with my challenges, grew my faith…grew my perseverance…grew my empathy and greatly developed my knowledge of the spiritual and life itself! And now I’m finally living the life of my dreams, freed from so many restrictions, externally and internally!

After 9 years of heavily developing myself and my businesses, I have now been growing faster than a weed in South Carolina! (Going from 2k to over 50k, in only 4 months via Instagram and Tiktok)

I guess Life wanted me to build my businesses like the Brick Pig, in the ‘Three Little Pigs’ and I am finally able to see the silver lining of my challenges! I’m so grateful for the delayed gratification!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Black + Queer Occult Artist! I also am a Classically-trained Professional Dancer and Choreographer! I am a lover of language and movement, and have found that my understanding of the movement of the body, and its subtleties, has given me a great understanding of the subtleties of life. And my love for language has helped me to understand the many ways that life communicates to us!

I specialize in Astrology and Intuitive Channeling, but have been deeply touched by Tarot, Numerology, Palmistry and many other Occult arts. I am known for “spilling the tea” from a unique perspective; in a relatable way. I’ve been the underdog my entire life and am finally seeing that I was Divinely held back, to be Divinely shot forward.

I have a 90% client retention rate, and have noticed that I attract other underdogs! I love helping other “ugly ducklings” discover that they were born to be “swans” thru my Spiritual Business and also thru my choreography.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, in a southern-baptist, military family, I was an anxious mess! The oldest son in the family I was set on basically being perfect.

In my pursuit to be extremely studious and well-mannered, my creative, rebellious and passionate self was crammed into small moments of play with my sisters and enjoyment with my imagination in my room. I luckily have since been able to integrate both sides of myself…but I definitely honored my Gemini Moon as a child! Showing one side of myself but keeping my more true self hidden for a very long time.

I loved to choreograph with my sisters and my friends, when I wasn’t being bullied for moving in a girly way. I always sang the girl parts in songs, and ALWAYS was a girl character in video games. But I was also extremely into playing rough outside, and geeking out about the latest comics or critters that crawled by. (Many times too “girly” to hang with the guys, but too much of a “guy” to hang with the girls)

I’ve spent the last 10 years getting back in touch with my younger self! (both sides) And now I help coach others on how to allow their inner-child to flourish again! I think my younger self would be proud.
