Conversations with Tasha Byrd

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Byrd.

Tasha Byrd

Hi Tasha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Tasha S. Byrd, wife, mother, grandmother, and Founder/CEO of I Choose Too, LLC. I am a multiple bestselling- author of Blessed Not Broken (vol.4); The Power of Letting Go, and (vol.5) When Being Strong is All You Know. I have won multiple awards; I AM HER and OWR finalist for author of the year.

I am having quite the journey. It all began with my passion for writing and my desire to make a positive impact.

I started off as an aspiring co-author; I poured my heart into stories that touched on healing and resilience. I delved deeper into my own healing process and realized that my calling extended beyond writing. I’ve always wanted to help others discover, recover, and rebuild their lives after trauma.

With determination and a heart full of empathy for others, I started my coaching business. Through one-on-one sessions and training programs, I guide my clients toward transformation and empowerment. But my vision don’t stop there. I see the potential to create a community of support and healing. So, I started hosting events for mothers and daughters, where stories of generational healing and love is center stage.

I am so driven by the mission to empower generations I am expanding my reach even further. I will be hosting events for mothers and their sons, fostering deeper connections within families.

Today and my forever mission is to inspire and lead the way in empowering generations to break free from trauma, heal, and build brighter futures together.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
On my journey as an entrepreneur in the fields of authorship, visionary author, and life/resilient coaching, I can say it has been both rewarding and challenging. While there have been moments of success and fulfillment, it hasn’t always been a completely smooth road.

Some of the struggles I have is juggling a full-time job, starting a business, and fulfilling my role as a mother grandmother, and having a personal life.

But by putting God first in my life, setting healthy boundaries, finding the balance between time management, prioritization, and my family’s support has been a tremendous help during the process.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

My commitment to fostering understanding, resilience, and empowerment sets me apart as an advocate for healing and personal growth in the face of adversity.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about our city, what’s not to love about Los Angeles! The year-round sunny weather, the beautiful beaches from Redondo Beach all the way around to Malibu, and the amazing sunset is to live for! Los Angeles has a wide range of food options, from vegan to one of my favorite spots off the boardwalk in Manhattan Beach none other than The Strand has yummy food and the view of the beach is amazing!

I love the museums, art galleries, and theaters. Two of my favorites are The Getty Center and LACMA. Lastly, for a Chick like me, I can’t leave out shopping. I love supporting small businesses.

What do I least like about our city? The cost of living in Los Angeles is (bananas) relatively high, particularly when it comes to housing. Housing prices and rent is challenging for many residents here. And the homelessness crisis like many major cities, Los Angeles faces homelessness problem. My heart and prayers for a resolution to everyone that’s been affected.
