Conversations with Svonnie Dalcourt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Svonnie Dalcourt.

Hi Svonnie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always stood out in everything. But this specific creative gift from God came forth just doing events in church ministry. I love planning and decorating for conferences. I was told I should pursue it but was scared to step out on faith. God finally forced my hand by putting me out of work. I then picked up my gift, trusted God and never looked back since. And he did the rest.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road to a successful event business has had some growing pains. But that comes with learning and setting the standard of your business. My desire was to become a luxury brand and that comes with hard no’s. And not settling. But it was so worth the hard times

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full-service planning and design event business. I specialize in creating magical moments in the event industry that clients will never forget. I’m most proud of how my clients become like real family in the process. They trust me with some of their most special moments. What sets me apart is I’m not an in the box type of planner. I love everything different and EXTRA. Nothing to me is a strange idea. It’s BIG VIBES ONLY!!

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I basically had to study my craft faithfully and invest in myself to learn. Finding mentorship can be tricky nowadays. Not everyone is open to pouring back into others. But I’m a strong believer in that. My gift was given to me by God to give on to others.
