Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Collier. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Seth Collier grew up living on a farm in a small country town in QLD Australia. He leads a somewhat double life going from motorbike riding to acting/dancing & ultimately from Farm to Hollywood! He started off in theatre doing many shows at QPAC and then later completed a year of full-time dance at Dynamite Studios. He then left the stage to become a film actor and has now been able to work with some of the best in the film industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy journey and still isn’t. I am blessed with super supportive parents, so they’ve made the beginning of my career a lot easier. They are farmers so as far as advice about the entertainment industry I’ve had to navigate that myself. I would send emails to agents and submit my auditions myself right from the beginning but my parents would always drive me everywhere and support me financially. An obstacle has definitely been where I live. Being over an hour away from every audition and living in the bush away from all things entertainment!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an actor/dancer. My most recent credits being ‘Zyg’ the Tunnel blaster goblin in the Jim Henson film ‘The Portable Door’ which is now streaming on Stan & MGM+ and Brad in the ABC film ‘Vivs silly mango’. I think being at an equal skill level with acting & dancing is an asset and sets me apart a bit!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t expect anything to happen in a hurry!
