Conversations with Nietzschean Baron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nietzschean Baron.

Hi Nietzschean, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ever since I was a child. I had always been interested in taking photos whether it’s insects, animals, or people. When the pandemic hit in 2020 I needed a new hobbie. I had a Nikon D60 at the time which I used to shoot landscapes and architecture. My good friend saw my work on Instagram and reached out to offer me his camera which is sony a6000. Definitely a big upgrade from what I had.

We started shoooting together. He thought me how to edit, lighting and understand the camera. I then ventured out to shooting models and doing collaboration work with other photographers and study how they work and approach the game. I also started watching youtube videos to elevate my work and be a better photographer by being directive to the models I work with. I moved to SoCal to experience the culture. I had no friends and so I continued to pursue my hobbie so I can create new friends and broaden my horizon the photography industry. I started to reach out to DJ’s and Clubs to obtain work and gain experience in the nightlife industry along with concerts. Throughout the months of effort, I gained many friends and connects to help me grow in the industry and took me to where I am today. I am not done yet…

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s never been a rollercoaster. One of my biggest struggles were competing with the known photographers in the city. I felt that everyone already had their go-to photographers that they trust and have worked with for years. But I persisted, made connections, and slowly work my way to the industry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I don’t really specialize in any aspect of photography. I believe I’m versatile in any form just because I have experience in a lot of different aspects of photography. What I believe I specialize in is portrait photography just because it’s something I have done since I started till today. I’m proud of all my work. I believe that my ability to adapt and be able to do photography and videography sets me most apart from others.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about our city is the tremendous amount of opportunity and the people I have met. They have been all very helpful in my success and are very willing to help you grow. I don’t like the traffic.
