Today we’d like to introduce you to Melina Chavarria.

Hi Melina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After some major life changes and shifts, a challenging divorce, and career changes, I found myself seeking for deeper meaning and more alignment on my life purpose. I began to write and explore Ancestral Medicines, remembering the medicines and codes that were passed down to me through my lineage, and grandmothers who were Parteras (Mid-Wives), and Curanderas (Healers).

I am the proud daughter of Immigrant Parents, who worked hard to give us a better life here on U.S. soil. Now it is my life’s work to bring back our Ancestral ways of being, healing and living to help restore harmony on this Earthly plane.

In my pervious life, I worked as a Human Resources and Retail Manager for 15 years. After 15 years working for Corporations that centered profit over people, I felt a deep calling to shift the trajectory of my life. I heard the Earth Calling me, to connect with it, understand it and be its Keeper. It is my passion to help you reconnect to Nature and all of its Elements. I work using the medicine of the Four Directions & with the aid of the Elements/ Elemental Beings (Nustas), Earth, Wind, Water and Sun, as well as the medicine of the Q’ero Incas that I have been given permission to share.

I combine my personal and professional experience, along with this Ancestral Wisdom, to help guide you on your journey, as you cultivate self-care, embrace your wholeness, and connect deeper with your ancestors, your purpose, your spirit, and help you to develop into the leader that you have been called to be. It is my belief that we must continue to care for ourselves, each other, and our Earth if we want to continue to create abundance for ourselves and the collective.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road! Being on the path of the Medicine Woman, and reclaiming our Ancestral ways and Medicines, required me to do a lot of shadow work and shedding of fears and old stories. To face the old programming and beliefs that were holding me back from stepping into my power and my true authentic self.

It also required me to do a lot of community building and tending to and nurturing relationships that felt more in alignment with who I am authentically, and to walk in faith that I was following my life purpose and calling.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Medicine Woman, healer, spiritual practitioner, writer, and life and career coach.

I am known for my connection the Earth and its elements. For cultivating, mending, and tending to relationships and helping nurture strong communities.

I am most proud of my family, and the communities I have had the honor and privilege of helping to nurture and grow.
I am very proud of my garden, and all of the abundance that grows there.

I am proud of my creative work, my writing, including my comic book series, The Magic Glasses.

What sets me apart, is that I don’t compete. I am proud to be my authentic self, and put a lot of tenderness, compassion and love into my clients and everything that I do.

What were you like growing up?
I was always very curious and creative growing up. I loved collecting rocks, and writing stories.
I was rebellious and always challenging my parents, ideas, and the status quo.
