Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexis Bre.

Lexis Bre

Hi Lexis, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a mom, life coach, motivational speaker, and podcaster. I started on TikTok doing videos just expressing different thoughts and lessons I’ve learned from life experiences and telling people how even through bad experiences to have no regrets and just learn the lessons that came with them. My first viral video was of me explaining that for love, I met someone online (my now child’s father) and decided to move across the country from Jersey City, NJ to Las Vegas, NV where I now live. I continued to post various videos because I saw it inspired, motivated, and helped people understand difficult parts of life but also gave me gratification because I was never able to speak up for myself being younger, I was also the odd one out, and I never had any close friends because I moved so much. It gives me joy to know I can now speak out while also helping others. I now have over 130k followers combining all of my social media accounts which has happened only in the time frame of one year. I life coach to guides people through their issues; I give motivational speeches at events or through my videos as well as started a podcast based about love, friendships, relationships, etc. I am also writing a book about relationships, and I create t-shirts with my brand Lexis Bre Clothing which is for t-shirts about spirituality and motivational quotes.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing has been a smooth road. When I was young, I was raised by a single mom who worked so much, so I barely saw her due to that, I experienced many adult experiences early on, which is why I know so much today. Due to not feeling alone, I craved love and attention, which caused me to get into relationships that weren’t good for me. I also low on self-esteem & confidence even though I was always told I never actually felt pretty or deserving; from being a loner, no friends or close family, I became a people pleaser to try to keep relationships long-lasting; I was bullied in school by peers even some family due to being biracial (black and white). I’ve experienced feeling left out and not knowing where I belonged because some black people thought I wasn’t black enough because I was white and white people thought I was too black. It left confusion. I’ve experienced disloyalty and choosing the wrong people to be around, which caused me to almost go to jail, thus causing depression and causing me to drop out of school. But through all those experiences, they taught me how to become the person I am today. I am now not afraid to speak up for myself, I have ultimate confidence in my identity and who I am, I don’t care of other’s opinions; I do what makes me fully happy without regrets and support. And on top of healing myself, I continue to help others and juggle so many titles while being a single mom.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a life coach, motivational speaker and podcaster. I specialize in understanding relationships, self-development, and spirituality. Figuring out how they all relate to encourage people to understand themselves, difficult life situations and navigate through them to live the life they want. I’m proud of where I’ve come from, how I faced all adversity, but I still manage to have to time, self-support, and passion to help others. I’m very relatable, I’m young, but I hold so much wisdom that would be similar to an elder. I have so much understanding and open-mindedness while giving candid and honesty because I’ve been on various types of experiences from life, race, culture, and more. I am everyone in some way while also being my true self and gaining passion and love from others for simply being me.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
For anyone who wants to network or have a mentor, never be afraid to ask and fully believe in yourself. Any bit of doubt will destroy your dreams; you have to believe in you, do the work, and anything will truly be possible. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and understanding of what you don’t know but want to. Be okay with being uncomfortable because in those moments on unsureness, fear, and unusual situations will be how you grow the most. Find someone as a mentor who also truly loves and believes and wants to see you be better than them. Always know you know nothing but can be willing to grow.
