Conversations with Lee Ifakemi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Ifakemi.

Hi Lee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Whew, where do I begin!? I always loved everything having to do with the occult since I was a kid. When I was a freshman in college, I joined a Buddhist meditation club that lead me to meditating on a consistent basis. It was such a healing practice that it sparked my curiosity to discover other healing modalities such as tarot, reiki, and sound healing. Eventually, these practices lead me to connect with my ancestors by becoming an omo awo within the Ifa tradition. As I was connecting to my own ancestors, it became very clear to me that I can help others connect to their own lineage as well. So I became certified in the Akashic records in 2019 and have been guiding clients to connect with their ancestors as well as offering spiritual advice on love, career, and purpose.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. It was very confusing learning how to connect with my natural abilities and how to truly listen to myself. It’s easy for me to read for others but learning to honor my own intuition was a whole other level of trust that took a while for me to fully step into. In order to be at peace with myself I really had to learn how to act on my feelings and get out of my own way. Listening to my intuition, trusting my feelings, and the voices of my ancestors has been the most rewarding yet challenging gift as I step into this world as a spiritualist. If you’re going to talk the talk you have to walk the walk.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a professional spiritualist that offers Ancestral Akashic Record readings, Akashic Record Readings, and Reiki. My work is centered in helping others connect to their ancestors, the magic within their own lineage, and guiding people to living a life of contentment. During my sessions, I become a clear vessel to channel information that can set them toward a path of peace, stability, and connection.

I’m most proud of my the readings I’ve done over the years. I love people telling me how much my readings impacted them. Whether it was helping them build an ancestor altar or helping them understand the changes currently going on their life. It truly gives me joy to hear how much people can experience resonance through our sessions.

What sets me apart from others is my ability to take spiritual information and ground it into reality for others. I don’t like readings that offer so much information that you can’t act on so it ends up sending your nervous system into overdrive. I want to deliver the most potent information that can be utilized in a way that’s not overwhelming and fits into your lifestyle.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice for those who want to be a professional spiritualists is to first work on yourself and build a life where you feel comfortable, grounded and safe. From there, start building your clientele or putting yourself out there. If your root chakra is all over the place – it’s going to be hard to build the foundation you need to grow your practice. Take care of yourself, embody the practices you want to teach, and be in community with others who care for you and want to see you grow!
