Conversations with Lauren Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Rose

Hi Lauren, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started singing when I was about 5 years old my parents saw my love for music and singing along with the radio and decided to enroll me in singing lessons just before I started school. I was enrolled in the Newcastle Conservatoriam Of Music (just past Sydney) with my singing teacher Carla Sharpe and I owe my talents to her, she has taught me everything I know to this day, I am still enrolled in the Newcastle Conservatorium Of music and end of year concerts. I quickly learned that I LOVE being on the stage and in the spotlight I love singing infront of people and sharing what I love with other people. Being a singer songwriter has been my dream since I was little. I have been to the states twice now and seen some of the amazing opportunities that are available and I was star struck. I would say that a lot of my personal experiences have been the main inspiration for my music and the songs I write I am definitely looking forward to sharing some of my songs that I have written I am currently working on a song of mine that I recently preformed for the end of year show case at the con called Haunted House its a song about bad experiences in a relationship and working on moving past the bad memories and making new ones. To not let the past define who you can learn and grow to become.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Its been an uphill battle I’d say, some stuggles Id definitly say ive had are again past relationships. Sometimes they can end in these big ways that can get us down that at the time you don’t realise are necessary, especially in high-school, a lot of people blow a-lot of things out of pre-portion and you have these complete strangers that you don’t know asking you questions about your relationship and it can be challenging especially when there are rumours involved. But sometimes those bad experiences can definetly help shape you into a better person.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an aspiring Singer,Songwriter. At the moment its just me and uploading the videos of myself singing to my instagram feed, but hopefully there will be more to come especially with Haunted House so keep an eye out.

I’d say what sets me apart from others is my heart. I’ve always been told I have a big heart and I am a very reliable friend when someone needs a friend to be there for them.

I am most proud of my acheivements no matter how big or small and i am so so proud of Haunted House and cant wait to release it hopefully one day soon

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I learnt that your real friends will reach out and make an effort to stay in contact with you my friends and I were constantly on face time or zoom or call playing games and having fun even if it was through a screen we adapted and overcame the situation.
