Today we’d like to introduce you to Knarik Arzumanyan

Hi Knarik, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2012 there was a huge change in my life, my small family and I, we moved to live in the United States, I felt like I should learn something new and that new should be related to art. I decided to start a new life in a new country with a new career, completely different from my previous one, from a French Language Specialist to a makeup artist. Hard work and dedication to my goals have brought me to where I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path wasn’t smooth for me, especially being a woman in her 30s who was new in the United States with language barriers. But when you love the job you do, you can overcome all kinds of obstacles. For two years I worked for free, collaborating with many photographers and models for different types of projects, until I gained a confidence and recognition.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As I already mentioned, in 2015 I decided to start my career of makeup artist. And from the beginning, my approach to makeup was very different. For me makeup artist job is not just a business, is a form of self-expression and self-realization in art. During this period of time I developed my own style without copying others. My work never repeats, all my creations are different from my previous works. The reason it never repeats is because I approach my every client individually, taking in consideration of their unique face features and enhancing them. That’s the main reason my clients are always returning to me. The fact that all my clients are becoming my loyal customers makes me feel proud of myself.
