I’m originally from Armenia and moved to the United States about three years ago. Like many newcomers, I took on various jobs to support myself and my family. Two years ago, my daughter was born, and her arrival made me reflect on my priorities—I wanted to be a better father, spend more quality time with her, and set an example of pursuing one’s passions rather than just working to get by.

One day, my wife wanted to do a newborn photoshoot for our daughter. She had the latest iPhone, but despite our best efforts, we couldn’t quite capture the photos we envisioned. I decided to give it a try myself, and to our surprise, I managed to take some beautiful pictures. That same evening, we came across an ad for a photography course. Inspired by the experience, I enrolled right away.

Within a few months, I learned the basics of photography. As the Christmas season approached, we set up a simple backdrop and a few decorations at home and started offering photoshoots. To our delight, we began attracting clients. Since then, for the past year and a half, I’ve been creating themed setups for each holiday and expanding into maternity, family, event, and birthday photography. This journey has allowed me to do meaningful work, spend more time with my family, and show my daughter that it’s possible to follow your passion and build something of your own.

Early Struggles
Starting from Scratch: Moving to a new country meant adapting to a different culture, language, and way of life, while taking on various jobs to support my family.

Balancing Responsibilities: After my daughter was born, I felt the pressure to be a present father while also providing for my family and learning new skills.

Learning Curve: Photography was entirely new to me. I had to quickly pick up the technical and creative aspects, often learning through trial and error.

Building a Client Base: In the beginning, attracting clients was uncertain. Setting up our first holiday shoots was a leap of faith, and there were moments of doubt about whether anyone would book a session.

I am a professional photographer specializing in family, maternity, event, and birthday photography. My journey began with a simple desire to capture meaningful moments for my own family, and it quickly grew into a business where I create themed photo sessions for every season and special occasion.

What I am most proud of is the ability to connect with families and capture genuine, heartfelt moments that become lasting memories. Clients often tell me they appreciate the warmth and authenticity in my work, and I believe this comes from my own experience as a parent—understanding how precious these moments are.

What sets me apart is my personal approach: I strive to make every session comfortable and enjoyable, especially for children and families who may be new to professional photography. I started with minimal resources and built my business from the ground up, so I understand the importance of creativity, adaptability, and making every client feel valued. My story is proof that with passion and determination, it’s possible to turn a simple idea into something truly meaningful.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My family is my greatest source of support, and none of this would be possible without my wife. She’s been by my side for every setup—learning to sew so we could create the perfect Christmas backdrops in exactly the colors we envisioned. Beyond her creativity, she’s also my toughest critic; I never deliver a photo to a client without her honest feedback and final approval. Her dedication and eye for detail inspire me every day, and together we strive to make each session truly special.
